PowerApps Tutorial - Create, customize, and share an app from a SharePoint list

Great intro to Power Apps video, Shane! Super helpful for those getting started with Power Apps.

My use case will likely involve about 0.5MM rows x 30 columns of structured data. Any recommendations on if a SharePoint list will be appropriate to use?

Hello Shane, very nice video with a lot of information, can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong, I just can't get the jump to the detail screen. Although the correct ID is displayed in the URL, I only ever see the home screen??? Something must be wrong with the "OnStart"?? I don't get an error message?? I had to adapt the code for Germany, it looks like this: Set(varTripID; Value(Param("TripID")));;
If(varTripID<>0;Set(varRecord;LookUp('Master Trip Plan 2024';ID=varTripID));;scrDetails)

I've created a custom canvas app outside of SharePoint but I'm using a SharePoint List connector as a data source. Since I created the app outside of Sharepoint (meaning I did NOT use the customize button in the SharePoint list) how do I then embed or map the custom app back to the SharePoint list (not embedding to the Sharepoint "site" but the actual list) for both creating new records AND editing current ones? I want to be able not only to access the app from the list but be able to click on a list item and bring up the app in edit mode. Thanks in advance. I've searched everywhere and the only solution involves creating the app from the SharePoint list first which is not what I did.

Hi! Is it correct if you use start with data (SharePoint List) to create a PowerApp you cannot change the format from phone to tablet? I have yet to find a way to do this. Thanks!

Great introductory video Shane. Can you easily use this approach to replace a relational Access DB with a web front end? e.g. Purchasing DB has tables for suppliers, purchase records, goods in, inspection, invoices and delivery notes. Each of these functions used throughout the purchasing life cycle. They exist now in an Access DB and we want to replace the Access front end (Access client) with a web front, and when this is working then replace the data source (Jet engine) with SQL...Agile approach allowing transition of each function to a web service.

Hi Shane, great video. I'm restarting using SharePoint after having used Excel for years. In SharePoint, one of my columns is multiple choice but in the Gallery this says it's not supported?

Hi Shane. Thank you very much for those wonderful tutorials videos. I have a question Do I have to use the "Title" column on SharePoint List? it is require to use it, or I can omit and hide it. I see many developers use it and just change the name of the column. I am working on an app where I am not using the "Title" column, I am running into some problems. I want to know if hiding or not using the column tittle is not a good ide. I'll appreciate your Help.

Hi Shane, this is a great intro video! I don’t seem to find a video that talks about what happens after you publish the app for your users…. I mean how can we protect your data from
1) people editing other user data
2) How do we users not be able to edit their own data after you enter once… how to create only a write and no edit option on once written data.. Ex: for something like recording time stamps or fuel consumption ect..
