Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous | Mythic Power | Live Orchestra

Since it's Sunday and I've got nothing beter to do at the moment, I'll share my thoughts on a comparison between this game's OST and BG3's.

First and foremost, I have to say I am biased towards all WoTR's composers, but specially Dmitry Silantyev and what he's done with the Mythic Path themes. I've listened to Larian's OST's since DoS1, and always felt they lack that kind of specific approach in many pieces.

A few pieces in BG3 are amazing and do portray that feeling (specially some battle themes and Balduran's Song), but half the OST being based on "down down down by the river" kind removes a lot of its sense of purpose in many scenes. But that's entirely my personal opinion of course.

With that said, even though most BG3 pieces sound better produced than WoTR's ( again in my layman's opinion), the compositions here converse with the game so deeply that it barely matters and it just ends up being a matter of who did better with the money they had.

And the OST influenced me so much that I stopped playing BG3 for the moment and started my "second" WoTR playthrough (because finishing once doesn't mean I didn't start it literallydozens of times).

Shame baldurs gate 3 couldn't compare with path. I was waiting for something like this, music is good, but it's just don't stay in your head. Pathfinder just so good and rememberable

Never did finish this game so reinstalled to restart and clear before i got Baldur's Gate 3.

Once again I could not get this stupid smile off my face as I torn through demons at the wardstone. Still just as satisfying as the first time 😁

The reason why great games have great scores is because it inspires the team and brings the vision of a project into sharp focus.

Minahgo getting 3 different debuffs to show her losing her shit after you pull a ton of new power out of seemingly nothing was such a genius move.

Anger, confusion, FEAR; the last emotions felt by the demons, foolish enough to stand in the commander's way.

"But.. but you're just a mortal! How?! "The last words uttered by lords of darkness blinded by their arrogance.
"I AM a mortal, oh mighty demon lord, but it turns out, so are you." 😎

"The Demoness looks formidable with her entourage around her, but her threats ring hollow to you now. You look at her and feel like a titan gazing down at an ant. What made this part so satisfying was how hard Kenebres, especially the citatel had been up until that point. I was running on fumes the entire time, and that was what made getting that power-up and mega-nuking the demons that had been giving me so much trouble up until that point so satisfying.

This soundtrack actually makes you feel like your attaining godhood and great power. As you reject your own mortality

In most D&D based RPG's, you enter epic character levels and it's mostly another level up with very little significance. You break the limits a mortal is suposed to have and the game barely recognizes it.

Then you play WOTR and enter Mythic rank... THIS is how you do it.

Man, i wish there are shots of percussion.

I get chills for every scene this song plays in. This game has some of the most epic moments I've seen in a d20 based game, and this song sure as hell helps!

I mean the first time this track came up in game i was like.. SHIT, THEY GOT THIS RIGHT. As many of you stated - a level up was never THIS badass - ever - period.

Best crpg ever made i will never get bored of saying that... its just unreal how better it is than literally any other crpg that is not fully turn based. 10/10 . Hope the Rogue Trader soundtrack gets the same love

I can easily imagine the Hand of the Inheritor conducting the angelical host while they play this every time the Knight Commander trashes a powerful demon.
