A lot of people forget that, at this point in development, Vader wasn't yet the Emperor's right hand man and was more or less an exceptionally powerful armed thug at this point. It's why Tarkin tells him off, several officers are dismissive of him and even Leia claims he is subordinate to Tarkin.

Honestly, the real world development is more interesting than the in universe one.

Vader my point This is British Empire trying to keep Control Now on Universe as they did 1700s-1960s with many Countries they manipulated control over the Established Kingdoms Tribes Societies Governments and British Empires Atrocities they Committed over that time period make NAZIs look like Girl Scouts.

I wonder if that star destroyer was late for the meeting?

Tarkin and Vader are the coolest things in episode 4.

I would have liked to see if Vader would have put down the faithless officer if Tarkin hadn't intervened.

After the destruction of the Death Star, Commander Tagge (the man who said the Alliance was more dangerous than they thought) was promoted to Grand General and Vader was made to serve under him. He thought the Empire should have invested more in Super Star Destroyers and proclaimed the Death Star, “Tarkin’s Folly”.

Why am I just barely noticing that when Vader is choking the officer he takes shorter, more intense breaths? It's such a small detail but it goes a long way to show how he lost his temper, especially since we don't have any facial cues
