Hi there! I watched this informative video a while back and I'm just finishing up my AOS 7 build with a similar layout to both yourself & Chris Rosser. I'm running Crossfire Diversity with Immortal-T and Bardpole antennas to get decent RC link range but I'm kinda nervous about potentially compromising VTX range when using the flat antenna mounting approach that's common when the Air Unit sits up front. I'm curious to hear whether you've experienced any VTX range issues to date? If so, did you find a better VTX mounting approach? Any feedback appreciated. Thx :)
ОтветитьHow did the flight time change with the batteries mentioned at the end of the video? I'm interested in longer range flight so I'm hoping to come up with something that lasts longer than ~10 minutes. Thank you in advance!
ОтветитьGreat build mate. iv been having nothing but issues with my 7" after updating to inav 5.0, 5.1. Would either take off and flip, or slowly drift off with a mind of its own. After seeing your video i decided to downgrade to inav 4.0, And bingo, everything is working perfectly again. Iv never been a big fan of constant updates, the way i see it, if it aint broken then dont bother fixing it. So im now going to stay on 4.0 for aslong as i can.
Ответитьwhen you arm it can you use your roll and pitch stick or do you need to rase the throttel first
ОтветитьHi, great video, one question though, for long range don't you need bigger or taller antennas? What's your best distance with dji unit original ones?
ОтветитьWhat was that gel stuff you used on the inner arm joint?
ОтветитьLove this video and I am about to start building a replica. When you bought the fram did you get it frm the US setion of he AOS site or the world wide? I have looked at the world wide sales and cant find a way of getting one sent to the UK where I live
ОтветитьHi Whirly, Do you have STL's for your Air Unit mount?
ОтветитьFor HDZero, I will use HDZero Freestyle V2 30x30 25-1000mW Digital HD VTX + Runcam HDZero Micro FPV Camera V2
FYI - I did purchase your 3d print for the GPS - looks good.
Checked Matek site and they now suggest a replacement for F722SE
- Replacement is FLIGHT CONTROLLER F405-SE
STM32F405RET6, MPU6000, DPS310, OSD, SD slot, 6x UARTs, 2x I2C, 9x PWM outputs
Can you suggest a good 4:1 ESC (55-60A) that would work well with the motors and Matek F405-SE?
I will need a MIPI cable to run from HDZero camera (front of frame) to HDzero VTX (back of frame) - calbe sizes come in 80mm, 120mm & 250mm
Which length would you suggest for this build?
What flight controller would you recommend for a HDZero build instead of DJI? I would like to run INAV with a HDZero build and DJI - can you let me know what parts would change from your list?
What camera for HDZero?
Thank you!
When ordering the AOS7 Frame - do you order 19mm or 20mm? Do you still believe Caddx Polar Pro w DJI unit is the best choice? I am new to this and will need a decent set of goggles for long range flying - can you give some suggestions links that would work with this setup? Last question: Decent RC controller that you would recommend and links?
Thank you - you do a fabulous job in this video
I have watched your video and i am building a 450 size drone myself. Now i have INAV on it (4.1) ... The presets for INAV are from 3 to 7inch but i have 10inch props. Can you give me some tips/information to get it fly good? Yesterday was a day with a lot of PID tuning but without a good result.
ОтветитьJust received my gps mount from you . Thanks very much ! Im loving your channel . Cant wait to get my aos 7 going . Pretty exciting , especially being a newby . Keep up the good work there cobber 😉
ОтветитьHi, I'm new to drones and builds. Range is the distance on the drone and also battery life? Many thanks :)
ОтветитьHello, your channel is inspiring to me. I’m new to FPV, still learning stuff. What are your thoughts on FC firmware for Cinematography freestyle? INav or Beta?
Would like to see more test on how both platforms would react out in the field. And they up and down on capabilities.
I am so confused on my OSD. I use crossfire and my LQ reads 99 when I am on Inav it starts at 95 98% of the time. Also I notice my LQ goes down on my OSD say like 87 but on my controller it showing around 96 and when I am on the ground and plug in the batter it will show 95 on OSD and on my control it shows 100. I am a scared to fly when in the OSD gets to like 77 and I ask my son what is my controller say and he tells me 91. I can not find out why this is happening. Do you have any ideas? Thanks
ОтветитьMore about the LiDAR please
ОтветитьHow's the vibrations on that frame?
ОтветитьHi Whirley, I' bulding an Aos 7'' as well, and I like very much your insta360 mount, nice and light...online I just can find bulky one's....could you share the file please?
ОтветитьAwesome Build !!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ответитьwas wondering if you could share your prints ?
ОтветитьNice build - thanks for sharing. Is the STL for the GPS mount available for download? Thanks.
ОтветитьGreat video can this flight controller stack your using work with Analog and hdzero im trying find a good fc for my 7inch Analog inav build .thanks
ОтветитьWhat protocol was used as I missed it? Crossfire , ELRS……..?
ОтветитьGreat build video. It helped me make up my mind up on what frame I'm going to use for my iNav build. I already have BrotherHobby 2806.5 1300Kv motors and Kakute H7 & Tekko32 65amp stack. Very excited for this build. Happy flying everyone. 🤓
ОтветитьI am currently building my first AOS 7 and your video has given me more then a few ideas. I am wondering what kind of tape are you using? Does it come loose over time? I haven't had a lot of luck with tape.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial with educated insight as usual. Many thanks 👍👌
ОтветитьWow so clean 👌 nice biuld buddy 🥂🥂🥂
ОтветитьThank you for making this great video. I have the same setup and when I give it throttle it yaw spins right to the moon . Any chance you can share your CLI Diff all?
ОтветитьNew sub!! Love your content! Im very new to iNav ( long time Betaflight and Kiss user) and was looking for some help. When using position hold, the quad moves very slowly with stick commands. Rates are good when in acro. Also how do you go about tuning position hold so its more stable? It holds the position well, but it makes little jerky movements to stay there. Is there a way to smooth that out? Thanks for any help, i appreciate it.
ОтветитьThat’s a neat looking quad. I normally go the opposite route in terms of motor/battery setup with high kv motors/low voltage LiPo pack. My typical similar weight build gives me around 15-20 mins flight time.
ОтветитьThe FC used here does not have integrated baro. I thought its essential for iNav to use barometer.
ОтветитьThank You.
ОтветитьThis build is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I adore the GPS mount. I have recently started thinking about a 7" LR, and this build ticks all my boxes. I'd only change the RX to ELRS and the VTX to a 1W HD Zero because I don't have DJI goggles. This is definitely my next build! Great video Whirly!
Ответитьi ordered the same version, even same colour. i thought exactly the same about the counter sunks. ordering button heads has the benefit of a bigger allen key. this is important when using thread lockers. i will try the setup with T90, never was disappointed by t-motor. Battery still not decided, but i think a 5S Molicell 21700 will be the perfect fit.
ОтветитьHi, I've found an error in your schematic. There is no ground return connection in the Bottom 4in1 ESC. Unless you are paralleling your 2 batteries. But then again, I'd still connect a ground wire directly from Bottom ESC GND to FC Gnd, because you may choose to run the batteries separately to provide some redundancy, if one ESC goes short circuit. If this was to happen you could still land the craft on the remaining good ESC and its 4 motors. Of course, you'd need to power your FC etc from both batteries via a twin diode arrangement . Diodes provide for battery isolation while both can still power the craft at the same time, (Schottky diodes best, due to low voltage drop) so that if one battery did get shorted via a faulty ESC the remaining battery could still power everything. I'm happy to provide a sample schematic to explain better.
ОтветитьDo you know if theres an adapter for analog?
ОтветитьI never found the link for the video about setting up the gps and mag. Could you please list it again.
ОтветитьJust ordered mine this morning after your recommendation, looking forward to it !!👍
ОтветитьI guess you bought the Succex-D F7 twinG 2.2 before they ripped the barometer out. Not all of them come with barometer installed. Those directly from Iflight doesnt have one.
ОтветитьFantastic build and those emax eco are really good. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьI saw that you are not using Crossfire, but evidently the DJI receiver and remote control. What distances can one expect both with and without the crossfire?
ОтветитьReally like your GPS mounting.... Would you mind sharing more of the close-up pictures of the hardware that you built for that? In your previous video I heard you laser cut these side plates from acetal. Hard to see the details from these videos.
ОтветитьThanks for the build video, nice walkthrough. Do you have a 3d print recommendation for the GPS holder? This seems unique and kinda makes sens to have it far away from anything electrical.
ОтветитьIm waiting for the op flow review!!!
ОтветитьJust got the chimera 7 and im so happy with it but this do look sick .. nice review as always
ОтветитьAs someone who is new to FPV iNav seems very promising. I come from a backgrounds of flying in DJI GPS drones.
ОтветитьI've had great luck with 7x3.5x3.. 7035 bi already at low rpm want more efficient. I got gf 7035 tri but think i only tried hq so far . GF think like 0.4g lighter. Think hq the ones
ОтветитьFinally ... watching now! THX ¶ : - )
