wow in a way i wished i never learned this tuner trick just now lol. my yamaha thr tuner is what i've always used and i always thought my floyd was perfectly in tune. well...
Ответитьreaper is playing an fx as soon as i turn it on an i cant find what fx it is thats playing
ОтветитьThis has been a God send!! I also got bummed with Cubase till a friend suggested Reaper!!
Question for you - how did you adjust recording level..?
asio drivers are in fact, built in to windows. just to clarify.
Ответитьi truggled all the day figure out why i can't hear anything. Then i pressed INS button and everything done :"))) thanks for this video
Ответитьvery well explained. thanks
ОтветитьYup, same here brother! I spent more time trying to figure out the DAW than I did recording until I tried Reaper. I did ok with Acid but Reaper seemed to be better equipped for my needs so moved on to that many years ago. Great vid! Thanks
ОтветитьMy version of Reaper didn't come with the Neural plugin.
ОтветитьAs a guitarist, Reaper is like a Kahler, everything else is a Floyd Rose. The Kahler is practical, and you don't need a tech to change strings. Sure you can do a touch more bending with a Floyd, but not worth the trouble by a long shot. Reaper is the way to go, like a Kahler 😃
Ответитьwhen i go to change the input on my track it is only giving me the option for input 1. how can i fix this?
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьThis is the BEST tutorial on how to get started recording with reaper. Thank you sooo much!
ОтветитьGreat tutorial, thanks!
ОтветитьThank you so much! How can I reduce the level of the input?
ОтветитьAnd now I need the funktion of Audio Quantize!
And I use as a beginner 4 x Guitar 1 and 4x Guitar 2 for Wall of Sound. Chorus 8x Guitar 1 and 8x Guitar 2. I cant' copy becsuse of Phase and I will use my Valve Amps and no PlugIns..
Do you have a Video for me, please?
Thank you very much for your superb explanation .
ОтветитьHello ! I hear my dry guitar sound in reaper, it's not from my Audio Interface, do you know how to disable it ? Thank You !!
Ответитьhow do u get the neural dsp stuff? i dont have it
ОтветитьI dont understand how do you have the lowest latency possible, I have reaper on Windows, a focusrite scarlet 2is, a good computer (for games and 3d) , but i dont have the same options as you in the preferences
When i select an audio system i have waveOut by default, then i hafve input device and i put the focusrite
Then i can choose sample format : 16, 24, 32 bit, but idk what it is
I have samplerate at 44100 Hz (i can change it but idk what it is)
I have Buffers: 8x126 samples (by default 1024), and my latency is 22ms but i still find it huge
great video! do you have, or can you make one about lead guitars? It would be nice if added to what you already did in this video.
ОтветитьI’m two weeks into Reaper and I am loving it. I was a touring musician for a long time and produced bands from behind the engineer because I have an ear but I never got the education on a DAW. So here I am. Next I’ll be getting into programming drums.
Ответитьthank you so much!
ОтветитьGreat tutorial!
ОтветитьWonderful reaper tutorial for very beginner in reaper. 👌👌
Just a question, how did you create subtract from main track? Just click on it?
Thanks
Thank you!
ОтветитьI tried using my katana 100 MK2 but whatever I do I can't get it to work. Brand new to this world. Can anyone help?
ОтветитьIm new to this so forgive me in advance. I have a peavy 6505mh that has a Input for my computer built in. Would i still need an audio interface or will that peavy act as that with the built in input?
ОтветитьSo I don’t need a microphone? That’s plugged to my amp?
ОтветитьGreat job actually mentioning ASIO drivers. I've watched a dozen videos like this and yours seems to be the only one that hits all the major points.
ОтветитьThanks man, you clear so many things how to do it and do it easy.
I have only one question, i have Emu 0404 USB and M-audio fast track pro sound card on each pc, so i need turn up the gain on sound card inst all the way up but keep under the clip before using VST plugins or i can leave gain all the way down?
Question: I have a Neural DSP Quad Cortex. I want to double track. Can I just record a left mono track and right mono track into my DAW with one play through. Then pan each left and right . I am also able to record in stereo on one track with two different amps. Help or do I have to always record twice meaning the same lines twice or can I record one line into two different amps that are on a left mono and right mono ?? Help thanks 🙏
ОтветитьMy lowest buffer size is 1792. Any lower and I hear crackles. But the latency is barely present. Trying to lower it without the crackles.
ОтветитьAwesome video. Thanks for keeping it so clear and simple, I'm pretty much sold on going with reaper as my DAW for my own metal
ОтветитьHi, i just, purchased reaper V6, but i can t find any plug in for my guitar, for example i tryed to to find the neural DPS, but it doesn t appear in the list
ОтветитьQuick question - How can i change the output on reaper to my pc speakers? i can only get the output on my audio interface....
ОтветитьAmazing video. Super helpful
Ответитьhey man i have done everything but the audio i cant hear at all do you know how to fix it
ОтветитьExcellent Video... Good Stuff, Thanks!!!! - 🎸🤘👍😀
ОтветитьThank you so much for this awesome tutorial .... very informative!!
ОтветитьSir this video was a massive help. Thank you soo much for taking the time to do this.
ОтветитьHi I'm new to reaper so to do two seperate recordings and or extra effects to I need to have amp sim instances on all the tracks? thats a bit CPU intensive also how can I record over a certain part of a riff to play it better but also have a few bars before recording that I can have the guitar ready in my hands and not record over the track? I can't find any videos on this
ОтветитьI wonder if those plug-ins are free in reaper or not
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьAnother great tip is to have different eq for each track to have even more wide stereo image.
In general, I think that recording the double separately is better sounding and improves your playing overall.
