Big Chill..indeed..! Thanks for posting
Ответитьgreat movie, great screenplay, great actors and great soundtrack. but... the meg-harold stuff, suggested by sarah, is pure crap.
Ответитьwhat year are these interviews from?
Ответитьit is on the 15th anniv DVD so 1998. maybe they were filmed in late 1997
ОтветитьI love this movie!!!!
ОтветитьOne of my favorite movies of all time...I'd love to see some of Kevin Costner's out-takes, though.
ОтветитьThis movie has to go down as one of the best ever made..They don't make them like this anymore..
ОтветитьWas only a baby when this came out, but saw it by complete chance a year ago. Awesome film, promptly bought it. Jeff Goldblooms speech on the couch with Berenger about how people go about getting what they want has got to be the best snapshot explanation of the human condition ever. Timeless and amazing film.
Ответить@CitySkin09 There wasn't a whole lot of fucking in this film...lust, yes, but not a lot of carry through. Meg wants someone to father her kid, but everyone turns her down, and Nick is impotent. Michael is a dweeb who can't get a chick and there isn't a single love scene in the movie, unless you count the part where Harold finally goes to bed with Meg, who is wearing his wife's bathrobe...um...not really sexy...except maybe Meg Tilly, who is the "lust" object in the group.
Ответить@sistaflav08 You can always rent it on itunes!
Ответитьone of the charecters owns a 1982 mercedes 300Turbo Diesel
ОтветитьLove this movie. Really love the Tidalholm house & town of Beaufort, SC where this movie was filmed. I have a vacation home there.
ОтветитьTom Berenger married a waitress after filming this movie in Beaufort. They had a couple of children but, since have divorced. He loves Beaufort, SC. & still lives there.
ОтветитьMy dad can't watch this movie because He had a best friend that killed himself bofore the movie come out
ОтветитьI grew up watching movies with my parents in the 80s and 90s like( ghosts) and( indian summer). but( the big chill) has to be the greatest movie of the 80s by far! great directing and writting by the same person i might add! GREATEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!!!
Ответить0:06 had a nice cameo though in As Good As It Gets
ОтветитьLove this movie!
Ответить"lust" object in the group... that'd be Jobeth Williams.
ОтветитьSuper low audio volume. Or is it just me? But interesting vid.
Ответитьfixes the sound please???
ОтветитьThe location where this was made is absolutely gorgeous
Ответитьin Beaufort south Carolina. I've been several times to c the home and other areas where they filmed.yes it is beautiful.they filmed in October. its my favorite movie ever!
Ответитьyes the home was used to make the Great Santini. another good movie!
ОтветитьGreat cast and atmosphere. Something about this movie that makes you think about it long after watching it.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite well written scripts. I wish I could see outtakes of the flashback scenes that hinted why Alex committed suicide. The cast was on point with the cleverness of the plot and story. I love this movie. I was ready to watch it again but I love how movies are made.
ОтветитьJoBeth Williams was also on The US Soap Opera Guiding Light where she played Annabelle Simms Reardon. I really didn't understand this Movie when it first came out when I was Seventeen but now it's a fine wine that gets better with time. What's so Ironic is that it's an All White Cast but The Soundtrack was released on The First All Black Owned Record Label.
ОтветитьI loved Harold & Sarah. In many ways they were the ones who really had their stuff together. Sam is a successful actor, terrible at relationships and doesn't have a problem with his daughter calling another man Daddy. Nick is a Grifter jumping from one responsibility to another not realizing how lucky he was that he didn't end up like so many Vietnam Veterans. Michael is neurotic always talking about his burgeoning Nightclub not realizing alot of Celebrities create Restaurants and they don't do well. Karen gives up her dream as a Writer for a Life as A Wife and Mother in the Suburbs who uses it as an excuse not to fulfill her dream. Sam could have said "Hey alot of Female Writers are Wives & Mothers and do well, look at Jackie Collins and Judith Krantz." Meg is obsessed with being a Mother who doesn't have a problem allowing Harold to be the "Donor" not realizing how it's going to affect the child later on and Chloe should have been asked her plans now that Alex is dead. Never let the Grass grow under one's feet.
ОтветитьIf Chloe & Alex lived downstairs in Harold & Sarah's house....why was there a phone call? Wouldn't she have run upstairs screaming when she found Alex had committed suicide? Anyone??
ОтветитьNever mind...just got my answer...Harold & Sarah were in their Richmond house...Alex & Chloe were staying in the summer house!! Some summer house huh?
Ответитьtry adding a bluetooth speaker
Ответитьpoor sound
ОтветитьIndeed. A long ago friendship, from that generation, had "physical" closeness.
ОтветитьI love this movie.
ОтветитьI crossed paths more than once with LK. My original screen name online is The Vamp. I owe so much to his writing. Body Heat is my favorite film because of the lighting. I got to meet the cinematography crew and you can see a lot of influence of my work from that beautiful flawless film.
ОтветитьCould not hear
ОтветитьOne of my favorite movies, I have watched it over 100 times. And the fact that U of M played apart was great because I am from Michigan.
