Yes - but I am runnign an etsy store geared toward dog lovers - there are several dog groups I could market to but they don't allow advertising in their group - how do I overcome that?

It's been proven by Forbes and Wall Street Journal that Facebook attracts those who engage in spiteful behavior, and it has no place in the construction of a business. Unfortunately, Facebook doesn't have any vetting procedures to ensure the legitimacy of reviews and genuine experiences. It's a childish popularity contest that has no sense of merit. Real business is handled through mastering SEO optimization and direct sales.

Great advice. Too often social media advisors have the To-a-hammer-everything-is-a-nail perspective regarding social media. They won't even admit there are situations where social media isn't the answer.

So if not Facebook for advertising, then what? We have to let people know about our business. I've tried local billboards for my photography and local magazines, keeping up with my website, blogs, and keywords nothing works anymore. My small business is suffering, and I may have to look for a part-time job, which is devastating because of my hard work. I'm seeing a million and one businesses claiming they can help with this and that. How are you any different from the other million social media digital companies? Who does small business trust anymore?

Just started working for a company who has a FaceBook business page and I can't login to the page. Tried everything. Please help!

What you said in this video made a lot of sense. My wife and I have a luxury villa to let and we thankfully have perhaps 80% of repeats every year and occasionally get a new client. They will represent at least 5000$ in rent. So we have a FB page, a website and a google maps pin that has many visits. It was only after FB told me that I had a grey page that I started looking around to find out what to do. Hopefully, I've stopped my FB business page from being deleted, but FB is certainly not the best in advising us on what to do. In fact, they are pathetically bad at it. Much main objection to FB with their business side it's that they do not cater for small businesses that do not need multiple things done to get clients. I bet there are more "small" businesses than big ones but FB has really ignored us.

I've got two Facebook pages, one is my current business and the other is a fly tipping. The flytipping gets lots of likes without me posting any content, the other is my business which earns me a living gets none.

I disagree, since setting up my facebook business page, I have not had to use any other sort of advertising. My leads all come from facebook which leads to word of mouth bookings as well. I run a small fencing business and FB has been transformational for my business. I set up my page about a year ago and regularly post videos of my work etc. I need to add that I used your great channel to guide me through setting up my page ! 👍

Great video, Jerry. I was surprised that you didn't mention the benefits of building an engaged Facebook Group as an alternative to trying to grow a brand's Page. Obviously, this won't be appropriate or practical for some brands but Groups provide a great opportunity for companies to nurture genuine engagement through target communities.

Howdy Jerry its been a while since I last tuned in thanks to life, so how topical FB business pages, I tell you there is only 1 constant about FB & that is that nothing is constant, if feels like every time i log on & go to do something on the business page its changed again, why the hell can't they just leave it the hell alone & stop changing ( making it harder ) for business users, last night was the 1st time I've been forced to use the new business suite or what ever it is called for scheduling & what a disaster I spent close on 4 hours just trying to do a basic post with a few pictures, it used to be easy once apon a time now its a bloody disaster.

The main thing that we use FB for is to show case our work & to direct new & or potential clients to look at certin sections similar to the type of work to what they are considering in the way of albums.

Just out of interest does your company do FB posts for other compsnies & if so what do you charge?.

It frustrates me also, that on my fb page I can’t see who it is that Likes my page. (At least I don’t know how to do that) I have no way - that I can figure out - to connect with them).
