Been back testing this and this has been the most helpful video I’ve seen on trend lines. I know it’s a “simple” tool but so is a hammer. Used the right way it can create some amazing things, used the wrong way and it can destroy your finger. I really want to learn to trade and I’m committed (watched your other video on the top 10 mistakes). I’m going to check out your other videos. Thank you so much for putting them out here for us.

HI arty thanks for you videos. there is a critical question in my head when you talk about the angles of trend lines. as we could adjust our price and time scales it may change the angle of a trend line so what is the default view setting of the chart when we discuss about a trend line momentum or angle. i think it is crucial to know when we are viewing a chart.

I just saw this video. I had been using Smart Money Concepts/ICT strategies which do work quite well, however they can be complicated and I started to notice that often price will not come back down to touch a supply/demand zone nor a fair-value gap. Some days trades never develop at all. However, I noticed that price would still move up or down and i'd miss money. I began to think, "how do I catch this big candles which SMC isn't catching?". I started looking more at pure price action and learned to use trend lines and recognize triangle patterns. This was just a few weeks ago, last week I only lost one trade and made trades which my SMC buddies didn't get. This video which Arty made explains it perfectly. I also watch price action trader Al Brooks, he always says, "don't over-complicate it. If it's trending, buy it". I realized I was trying to be TOO technical. I'll still start my day looking for an ICT/SMC set-up, but if the market is already trending or nothing develops, i'll abandon it for trendlines and price action. Follow this video, it works.
