Hey, would you rec the 7900 for 1440p aswell? my old i7 8700k cant handle the load properly anymore(one intensive Game, discord and a tab and im on 70-80%). Hence i gonna get a new Mainboard,CPU and RAM. Darn 1151 socket i cant even put something better on it now lol. I just dont see the point in buying a 7900X for just having double the TDP. Im using a AiO WC currently and im on 60-65 celsius whilst on full load so if it doesnt go above 70 with the TDP Monsters im okay with going for a different one than the 7900 if it means better 1440 Performance.

AMD is exact opposite of efficiency for more or less 25 years now (Athlon anyone), here Ryzen 5 7500f user even at idle it uses 30w which is more or less 50% TDP, if you want to go efficiency go Intel paired with Nvidia and never ever AMD, if you still have doubts speak to some guy who is building corporate systems or servers

I am going for 7900 for new PC build, I like the efficiency and low temperatures, so I can even save some money and use the stock cooler. That being said, I was quite impressed by 13600K results, only downside is power consumption/thermals and not so future-proof platform.

What if in my country, for some weird ass reason, they 7900x is about $80 cheaper than the non X version? Should still get the non X? I will use it mostly for music production and light gaming from time to time do idk which one would benefit me the most

Having bought a 7900 due to this video, I now feel that it’s a bit misleading. Sure light loads stay at around 45C but the moment you push the CPU it goes straight up to 90C and caused the fans to roar! I bought Noctua’s largest cooler and re-applied the paste and seating twice because I thought something was wrong, but apparently this is “normal” and other videos on the web highlight better that these COUs run extremely hot!

Do some downhill haha. It's weird i'm at ambient 15 but the CPU is sitting at 55. Burn nexus at the stake !

i'm pretty sure the 7600x is best buy. i studied a lot of tests, now ofc depends on your budget and what game you want to play but in most cases it's really good and you don't need more than 6 cores. i'm using a 3600 and even capped at 2.2ghz on all cores i still get 60fps in games (that's my fps cap anyway) with my 3060ti eagle. so even if u get a 7600x and disable pbo and run it at 4.7ghz stock on all cores great performance, low power, low price = win

With Wraith Cooler and midtower with a 9cm intake fun and 2 x 6cm out-take fans it goes easily to 90C when in load with cine bench. I wonder if a Noctua NH-U9S would change that. It is idling at 58 - 62 Celcious.

Got the 7900 when I upgraded to AM5/DDR5 2 months ago and I absolutely love it. 80 minutes of music in 16/44 WAV format takes 2 minutes to convert to 320 kbps mp3, so 40x real-time! The CPU is also a very good match for my almost 3-year-old RTX 3090. Cyberpunk 2077 runs in 96 FPS average (55 fps lowest percentile) in RTX Ultra with that CPU/GPU combo.

I’m trying to see how these cores run in 4k. There is literally no point in me build a pc if it going to look shit compared to my ten year old ps4 & cost 10 times more.

Bought a Ryzen 7900 (non-X) on AliExpress and installed it with a Cooler Master ML240L V2 (water cooler). It's reaching 81ºC with 100% load in a stress test after 15 min. It seems very weird considering the tests of this video. Does anyone else get this CPU too hot? Any explanations of this?

I bought a Ryzen 9 7900 a couple of weeks ago as an upgrade from a Ryzen 7 5700G. My PC runs whisper quiet on using the very same CPU fan. And in a compact mATX system too.
