You’re watching god❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьHe is photographed full body throughout, the camera (unlike these days) creates none of the dancing.
ОтветитьFred was 36 in this scene
Ответить“That’s it, is it? Not a word about trousers…” - Willie Rushton
Ответить“Dispatch, I’ve received a distress call. 2 boys are drowning in the overflow tunnel. I’M ON MY WAY! OVER” 🐧
With that said, my god can this guy dance, much better than anyone on America’s Got Talent.
Nothing like this is ever going to come around again.
ОтветитьOswald Cobblepot's favorite movie
ОтветитьHi, Mr Cobb
ОтветитьOne episode left 😆
ОтветитьLittle Oswald Cobb like this
ОтветитьPenguim
ОтветитьSeems both Mr. Cobb 🐧and Mr. Fleck 🤡 like watching Fred Astaire.
ОтветитьThe Penguin sent me here 🐧
ОтветитьThe Penguin 1x7 🐧🔥
ОтветитьHere from the penguin 🐧
ОтветитьThank you so very much for sharing this truly magical performance!
ОтветитьFred will always be the king of dance.
ОтветитьI'm steppin' out, my dear
To breathe an atmosphere
That simply reeks with class
Not in Hornchurch that’s for sure
I saw this on Turner Classic Movies
Ответитьthis is not coming back 😢
ОтветитьThe solo dance part, Fred made eight takes of it, and Cagney himself said the 2nd take
is the best one, the one in the movie … 😊
It's good to watch this now and again to remind myself of how truly wonderful Fred Astaire was. What a genius on the dance floor.
Ответить"I trust that you'll excuse my dust when I step on the gas."
That could be a line in a hip hop song.
Thank god YT keeps these classics alive!!
Ответить💎
ОтветитьThe detail is astounding, down to the way the final "shooting victim" uses his cane to simulate the arrow. Staggering artistry throughout.
Ответить🎥 The movie, which had no connection to this song, "White Tie and Tails", starring Ella Raines is such a delicious ile movie and Ella was Gorgeous!
Recommended Watch !
1935, isn't it amazing that this is a world that has never yet known Sinatra, Elvis, The Beatles not even Judy Garland singing Over The Rainbow as this would happen in 1939. So much culture coming ahead of them that they have no idea about. In 1935 the world only knew about one world war! And in that small slice of time there was Fred Astaire at the top of his game.
Ответитьtry patting your head and rubbing your tummy then will realize how versatile this man was he doing about 8 different movements at the same time. and what,s more with style
ОтветитьBetter than K-Pop
Ответитьwe should bring back morning suits i think
Ответитьdamals als musik noch musik war
Ответитьman i miss those good old days when the white tie dress code was much more common
ОтветитьI feel so empowered by this
ОтветитьBut in 100 - 200 years it will be the same great music for the new generation of that time, just as the music of the 20th century is for us
ОтветитьHow do you call that staff he has in his hand???
ОтветитьIf you thought videos feeling older than they are was a recent thing, the part of my brain that insists that this is from 1914 disagrees.
ОтветитьMan, Fred is awesome!
ОтветитьMister Spritely, nonpareill !
ОтветитьIn case you’re interested, Fred Astaire is wearing a highly buffed silk top hat and the rest of the guys are wearing matte opera hats. If you were to find a top hat like Fred’s today, you’d have a small fortune on your hands, as, since silk plush can’t be made anymore and subsequently silk hats are also no-longer made, the quality vintage ones are now very rare and sought after!
Also, you’re supposed to wear silk top hats, or toppers, straight across. Fred wearing his at an angle sends the message that he’s being a bit jaunty. 😅
That’s such a long dance performance without a cut!
Ответитьits so catchyyy
ОтветитьAstounding performance by the fabulous Fred Astaire! The choreography is brilliant. All of the men, in synchronized rhythm. Love it! My thanks for posting! Say, is anyone else's favourite part when the men are lined up and Fred aims his cane at them, while moving and tapping his feet to make it sound like a sub-machine gun?!😁
ОтветитьGene Kelly was really good to but had a little different style
ОтветитьOh man what a performer
ОтветитьHow does this not have millions of views?!
