ОтветитьHey doc. Just wanted to chime in and say how frustrating it has been over the years to keep hearing how important sleep is and to get more sleep. I'm well into my second decade of poor sleep. I've tried many modalities to help me sleep. I learned about 3 years ago I my sex hormones were nil, adrenal burnout and a slow thyroid. I've been on HRT for almost 3 years. I decided yesterday to stop usin HRT. I also quit taking my thyroid medication about a year ago. I moved out of state and haven't been able to find a functional medicine endocrinologist her in rural upstate NY or VT. So I can get my thyroid tested properly. I have all of the thyroid symptoms and adrenals too. I'm 13 days into eating just meat, salt, water, and as many animal fats my body can handle.
ОтветитьI haven’t overcome it...btw it should really be called HPA axis dysfunction. It’s very complicated bc it is really a broken brain that causes symptoms. I am in my 70s and don’t realistically expect to recover, but since taking DHEA, I do expect improvement of my severe fatigue. This condition is fucking hell!

ОтветитьTired after exercise is also asign of a fatigue syndrome. I had this for 35 years, no one knew about this then and was called lazy. It doesn’t get overcome! We exercise, we oay the next day. And if you cant sleep no point telling us to get sleep😂however, It can improve and be manageable. Walking, alternate days and build up strength and diet as this doctor says. And goid luck getting rid of stress in this extroverted , noisy world. But you have to try. As in all things, get out of the comfort zone:)

ОтветитьBut what if because of your adrenal dysfunction you have chronic onset insomnia therefore you’re not getting the sleep you so desperately need? That is my case and I have yet to come across anyone who talks about what to do when you have insomnia due to it?

1. ACV Lemon Water every morning
2. Less meat more veggies
3. Hydration
I saw a massive spike in my energy in less than a week of taking ACV and now my hypersomnia and fatigue is gone <3
Will also add Sauna :)

Write down all.things that stress you out and work on it.
Have more fun,add joy into your life.
Do stress reduction exercises like pilates, tai chi, walking in nature.

ОтветитьI cut my caffeine intake down to one cup of coffee a day. I had to have a nap every day! I couldn’t keep up with my son who is now 5. Back on two cups of coffee every morning and sometimes green or black tea in the afternoon. I am overweight and miserable. I’ve tried to change my diet. I quit the sugar and feel great when I’m off of it. I am tired all the time no matter what I do though.
I’m miserable.
I can’t take b12 because my liver has too much on bloodwork. I do take a adrenal complex and a b complex w no b12 or folate. I do take D and epa/DHA and I drink coconut water.

ОтветитьPeople r sick because thy eat too.much these days. The diet is too rich. Too many nutrients r as bad as too little nutrients. Our ancestors didn't eat nearly the amount we do. U only need one plate of food per day.. not 3 times per day. Too much.
