The AR 15 is just a modified Stg.44
ОтветитьTY Ian. Eternal thumbs up. You are simply the best at these types of investigations.
ОтветитьI have an MP43/1 here in England, it was deactivated, I had to give up my live firing MP44!
My 43 is built with am Mkb42 upper receiver but with a stepped barrel!
😳
I have always loved this gun, but I never looked into the mechanics of the MP-44 so this was actually a really nice video.
ОтветитьWere these guns painted or some sort of blackening chemical used to give it the dark finish?
ОтветитьI love it.
ОтветитьThanks!! Great history.
ОтветитьWhy can’t you show an ancient Celtic, Nordic neo pagan symbol? What a world we live in
ОтветитьStoner stated on video he and Jim Sullivan first saw constant recoil (he called it that run out thing) in the MP-44..Why this is never mentioned when discussing the STG-44 is bewildering, considering it's excellent control on full auto compared to new designs...
ОтветитьTilting bolt is the GOAT of lock ups.
ОтветитьI do love this weapon. I do, I do, I do, etc.
ОтветитьAmazing how crude it is compared to how they started the war. It changed tactics once again in the history of war.
ОтветитьI always see people (mistakenly) claim that the AK was designed after the SG44 but I actually see far more similarities between this and the M16/AR platform than the AK
ОтветитьPSA is bringing it back!
ОтветитьAnyone else here to see the mechanical breakdown after the Royal Armouries history lesson? Just me?
ОтветитьThe stamped sheet metal toys etc used to be known in Britain as 'Jerry built' which was definitely not a compliment, so on first meeting the STG44, they probably thought the same!
ОтветитьEverybody who owns, or has the possibility to shoot an stg posts these videos: Good for you guys.. But can somebody please be the real king-stg-geek and make a video, discussing the wartime accuracy of the stg on long range, mussle energy and impact energy on 2-300 meters.. I keep wonder ing if this gun really is the hyped up rifle it claims to be? I keep comparing it to the M1 carabine which also used castrated rifle ammo.. Please somebody be the real King-Stg-Geek😀😀
ОтветитьOne of my favorite assault rifles.
ОтветитьLocking System better than ak.Better gun.
ОтветитьClassic. Thanks!
ОтветитьWhere did you get that stand?
ОтветитьAfter World War II, why didn’t West Germany continue production?
ОтветитьIt fucking kills me that there's still not a civilian clone available. There's the 22 aesthetic copy of course but it's not the same. I really wish HMG had worked out. It's kinda unfair to speculate but imagine if they'd just offered it in two chamberings instead of attempting four from the start. Should have just been in the original cartridge for people like myself that just really want a somewhat true to the original STG, and then the people that think the STG is cool and will buy one, but only with a more common cartridge like 7.62.
ОтветитьWhy would stamped metal parts have lower trace-metal requirements than forged ones? Both of those processes involve pressing the metal into shape under force; the difference is basically just whether it's cut before or after shaping.
ОтветитьWo sind die Deutschen Untertitel ???
Ответить8.46 not a oil bottle but a spare parts bag .thats what mine has
ОтветитьVanadium. . . . Vaaaa - NAY - dee- Yum . .. . . not Vah- nah- dium. . . . . .
Ответить"October of twenty-six ... auction." Still time !!! (-:
ОтветитьI have cloth rapped around the barrel on mine in Battlefield 5. People always ask me why. That baby runs hot. So I just can’t ignore that while I’m playing 😂
ОтветитьI would marry an StG, have babies with her and take care of her my entire life. 🥰
ОтветитьNow I can shit all over anybody who says the AK was a copy of the STG in an even more condescending tone!
ОтветитьSo much knowledge😯
ОтветитьId love a stg44 clone
ОтветитьI’ve always wanted an original AK47… there are repro’s out there but I need to move to another state to own one….communist California is a nightmare.
ОтветитьDidn't the Germans work on several other intermediate cartridges during the inter war years? I heard something about a 7 x 43 mm and/or 7.92 x 42 mm design. What is the scoop?
ОтветитьAre there more weapons like the Sturmgewerh 44 ?
Stg 44:
Stg 45(M):
Mkb42(W):
Grossfuss:
Yep! Without the Gullivare Iron Mines of Sweden, Germany could not have waged either World Wars.
Always wondered, did Swedes feel any guilt/remorse from enabling and profiting from the Third Reich?
I love the sound of the gun after the clip is expended. Weird but I love it lol
ОтветитьWho’s here from vanguard
ОтветитьIt’s amazing how much the 3 most successful weapons designs take away from this rifle. Basically all hk pattern receivers (g3 and mp5), the ar uses much of the same concept and even the dust cover. Then the ak took the trunnion and nearly everything but the lower control group. Basically if you like all three, buy an STG
ОтветитьWho want to come with me to make the Spatz-447+
ОтветитьStg44
ОтветитьKeep it up
ОтветитьAmazing!!, thanks for sharing these videos!!! Liked & Subcribed!!!
ОтветитьThe magazine catch & the hammer through the bolt carrier group on the Stg.44 is more similar to the AR-pattern rifles. Also, the recoil spring is present in the stock. Also the dust cover.
ОтветитьHELP WANTED!!!
There is a lever on the right side of the lockwork, in WORLD OF GUNS it is named CATCH LEVER. I am trying to figure out its function. Maybe some kind of inertia safety device, but I just can't understand it using just WORLD OF GUNS. Any ideas? The inner portion has the trigger and sear, on the left side we have a very complex lever to struck the "disconnector" (that sear which catches the hammer when the trigger is pressed) when the gun is in full auto; the lever on the right side is the problem.
Looking more closely, looks like something to prevent the trigger from moving when the bolt is manually operated, but the part on WORLD OF GUNS is too short and it is not clear that the bolt pushes it forward when the gun is in battery.
Some models in WOG have errors (I found errors in Colt Python's hand and the UZI ratchet cover).
Checkmate, Sledgehammer Games.
ОтветитьQuestion for anyone who would be able to answer this, gun experts only and preferably only gun experts, soldiers, and historians who would have the ability to answer this question regarding the Sturmgewehr MP-44
So in the Sturmgewehr 44 manuals of WW2 (in particular- BArch, RH 11-I/44 Entwurf zur Heeresdienstvorschrift), the images clearly display wehrmacht soldiers holding the gun by the mag and the handle, unless there was something like free hand aiming position standing or kneeling where the hand is behind the mag resting by the magazine lock button. Is there a reason they do this? The only reason I could think is that there is no significant handguard around the gas block like every assault rifle after AK47 has, but I am not quite sure.
I mean I could think also that it gave quick access to the selector button which means being able to use the german tactics explained in the pamphlets better
