Avidemux Tutorial: Combining Video and Audio without re-encoding

What you've called "bitrate" is actually "bit depth". That's a completely different parameter, which specifies how precise the audio signal level changes are. 16 is more than enough for publishing, but 24 is good for storing this is you'll process lately. 32-float is great for recording software because if anything goes above 100% volume, it will still be saved without distortion, and you can then turn it down in an editing program to get rid of the distortion. With 24 or 16-bit integer bit depth, this won't be possible.

They have hidden that option successfully - logical place would be in the root of 'Audio' menu.

the wiki says it doesn't support PCM as the input though (only output), so idk how ur using it with .wav. Is it somehow just supporting 16bit wav?

HELP! thanks for the video. So i've followed your steps exactly, but once i've selected the audio and press play. it plays the original audio from the video REALLY REALLY LOAD! and doesn't play mp3. it's kinda annoying, because i'm trying to add a video to a song i've made and this is the final step.. it's always the way right?! lol

LMFAO been using Avidemux for years. I still wonder why Video NLE's still do not allow this feature in 2017.

AWESOME program. I accidentally rendered an hour and a half long video for 8 hours without any audio on my intro, and this just corrected that within 20 minutes. DEFINITELY worth a like! Highly recommended if you know the right matching video and audio codecs to use!

how can i lower the song in the video edit in avidemux though ? :/

im combining videos and it is mixing up the audio for different videos.  putting a montoge together and the video is working perfectly but the audio is mixed up.

is 16 bit good only for short made from HD mobiles? Thank you

what i dont understand about this program is that it allows for audio conversion to AAC but it does not allow for the import of AAC audio stream...

which just makes it unusable for me im not going to convert a good AAC stream to an other format just so i can import it and reconvert it back to AAC!
This would create to mutch quality loss...

Nice tutorial, but, for future reference, "Click on here, select this, then click here...".  You do realize that we can't generally see what you are clicking on.  SAY where you are clicking or selecting.

- Can i set a different starting point for my audio track ? (i capture the game and my voice on two different softwares, so they don't begin at the same time)
- can I keep the audio track of the video and add the mp3 with my voice to it ?
- and can i modify the sound volume of the video and the audio track (to balance/mix them) ?
