I remember getting this on console and being blown away, since the mobile version never had anything this grandiose

This is better than minecraft's main menu theme!

Rest well old console music we will all miss you being the main theme for consoles

this song brings me back to the good old days of whenever it was when both me and my brother's friends would come over every wednesday (friday?) and play terraria and we'd go to some sorta kids church club thing despite most of us not being religious. fun times.

anyways now i've said no to those friendships because of unlucky events that took place like me going to spook my brother and his friend while they were going to wash their hands in the bathroom (my timing was off and i had to go, you'd probably know what happened next). my other friend ended up dumping me the second we got to secondary school (this is the scottish school system idk what it is for other countries lol) and i ended up joke-arguing with another friend of mine about a character from a tv show's name (which coincidentally turned out to be nearly the same as my dumper-friend) and then the teacher brought it up and that awkward the-room-is-silent-and-the-whole-class-is-staring-at-you moment happened. i ended up accepting the dump and moving on.

now i've realised that i'm pouring my life story into there because this song brought me nostalgia. i've also realised that i have a lack of "."'s so now i'll add a few....................

anyways let's continue lol

i recently got back to playing terraria and defeated the moon lord like half an hour ago. very cool

Man brings back the old days on 360 we’re I couldn’t even kill the eye and evils were randomized (I think) and NPC’s could never attack man good times

I wish there was an option to change the music to the original console music

I thought this was just the terraria title???

I grew up with this music, the first game I bought (not free games) was Terraria, I got it on a playstation. I heard this music for years but now it's just gone, this is the best Terraria theme imo.

The nostalgia hits hard! I remember playing on my switch and me thinking the wall of flesh was the hardest boss in game. Once me and my friend managed to beat him we thought we finished the game, however, we saw these new enemies and biomes and we realized that we were not finished…

This theme is way better than both the new theme and the sun easter egg theme. I wish they never changed it. For how little time you spend in the main menu, the newer theme doesnt accelerate in tone anywhere near quick enough. This one immediately shoves you through all the different moods that the game brings.

This was better than the PC version

Had this thought for ages:

When the sun is clicked, it also includes this as a 3rd cycle, and stays with that tune even if you reload the game.
Anytime it is clicked, it goes to the next song in the cycle, but this can be turned off in settings.

I played that since 7 years ago. in 2017.

Why does this sound like the kind of song to play in a documentary about ancient animals???

now this. THIS is the crowning achievement of the most nostalgic music ever made. (atleast in my opinion.)
something about it is just so good. whenever i want to feel like a young kid again, i simply listen to this music.

and the memories of playing terraria when i was a young kid. playing it on my nintendo switch, being utterly confused on how to build a simple house, playing on expert mode, dying several times to king slime, arguably the easiest boss in the game, checking the wiki every 5 minutes, the spawn looking like an absolute mess...

good times. its such a shame that they deleted all of my saves when 1.4 came out. but even then, terraria gifted me my favorite music of all time.
