How to Speed Up or Slow Down a Video Clip in Shotcut

Is there a way to speed up just part of the video?

Is there a way to accelerate to the speed you want and decelerate? So instead of just jumping to 5x you speedup from 1x to 5x over 3 seconds?

I had a 38 minute video that i wanted to speed up to 30 seconds, shotcut just cut the video short while using this method. So i lost the end parts of my video.

Why is it so hard to find how to just slow down the preview speed in general and not transform the files.
