Import image sequence in DaVinci Resolve 18

Ok.. for some reson i see my images as Clips not Files and i don thave that option to make them a image sequence... EDIT: just noticed i was not in Media Mode... It works in it as expected

in davinci resolve 18.5 the interface looks different. I don't have that triple dot option.

i have davinci 18 but no windows have the tricolon to select a frame view mode.

If you want to import a gif to DR, this is the way! Make sure your gif is in individual frames! This was perfect for me to import stuff from aseprite to do some video editing with pixel art!

If you can't see the drop-down menu for the "Frame Display Mode" just switch to the "Media" tab at the bottom of the page.

Thought I could do this on dr17 but just over 2 min in I'm realizing I don't have a frame display mode or a sequence option on the media tab.

I did not know that you could select the way to view an image sequence. I ended up with hundreds of single images most of the time.
When on automatic it sometimes worked...

Scouring the internet for a good solid 20 minutes and this is exactly what I needed to see to understand how to not view my time lapse as individual clips. THANK YOU!

This will only work if the imagenumbering is like 0001.jpg, 0002.jpg, 0003.jpg. If your images are from a timed sequence which takes every 5 seconds 1 frame, and the image name is the time it was recorded, it does NOT work. You have to rename all images somehow.

Both the image sequence and the original audio track are at 29.97 FPS....but one is always longer than the other. What am I doing wrong? .... Can someone help me to figure this out?

How can they not have a simple png sequence importer is just beyond belief. Any other softwares understand it is a sequence when you point at directory filled with .png containing the same file naming.
