Pinnacle sure likes doing weird things.  Every other video editor you click on T for text and start typing. Thanks couldn't figure this out.The system makes sense but it should at least open the Title effects clips window automatically, I had to manually search for it.  It does work nice by Pinnacle is so confusing compared with Corel X8

I bought pinnacle studio 17 and it does 
not have the motion feature only to add the text. I found it by right clicking in it shows the small menu but the software does not allow me to use it. I download the 2 updates but it still didnt work. Do I have to buy another version just to get the motion text feature  or can at least get a discount to upgrade the software. ?????

Now allow me to state this without sounding like a Major A hole, but i am probably thinking the same thing as everyone ells is thinking here... Many people are looking up your video for the same reason i have, because they spent $60 on something that SHOULD do something as simple as add text to a video. Now this irritates me because for YEARS i used Windows Movie Maker on my old Laptop, and the video quality was garbage, my effects where limited, but i could add text over a video! i guess this some premiom effect? 

now once again i am not trying to be rude, but many people are probably asking you this same question, for those of us who obviously have been screwed over $60, is there a way to enable this effect so we can add text to our videos? or should i take this POS back too the store where i got it from? 

Do you know how to add background just to the text rectangle and not to all the screen? i can't find that opinion

All fixed now. I used Windows Movie Maker to do in ten minutes what I've been attempting to do in Pinnacle Studio 17 for the last 8 hours - not impressed. (I've been using previous Pinnacle Studio software for many years.)

Mine says that I didn't install that feature, when I know that I did. Please help me if you can!

Hello Bai - thank you for your help with the Editing Tutorial on Pinnacle 17, however, I am puzzled, with the 'Looks' tab, at the top of the screen, in the Title Editor - why does it not show the various effects - for example 'Standard' 'Shadow' 'Bevelled' 'Outlined and 'My Looks'?  I have the same display as your screen, but I have seen these effect labels on other Pinnacle Studio 17 tutorials?  Thank you

I use Pinnacle 17 in Win7 64 and works fine.Your videos was very correct and usefull,so far.I have only one problem and maybe you can help me,when i enter text in a movie in the start or in the end of the text my playing movie is making a scratch-jump frame-seems like shows same frame 2 times.Maybe i didn't explaine so well my problem but if you have any idea i appreciated.

Title motions seem to be unavailable for me.  May I assume it is because they are only available in the Ultimate edition?

Pinnacle is decent software, but it could be streamlined a little better.
