Updated Akaso Brave 7 - Is it Better?! Microphone Fix? EIS Fix?

Sorry had to go with the V50 Elite. Because of the no external microphone to improve the sound. That the 50 can take. People will switch the channel with bad sound faster.

One question about akaso 7le I have a problem with recoding voice. Do you know how to setup it up?

On the bike the microphone was awfully full of wind noise and the bike was going very slow so how can you use this camera even on foot with little wind???

Bought the camera yesterday, is it mine camera or is it overall with Brave 7, but the image is overexposed. The camera cannot handle different exposures (if I am in room one part of the room looks OK but as you go more towards windows it shine like Vegas :))) Lowering EV to minimum improves things a little. Also bought the camera mostly to be used with bike, on helmet. Please note that provided mounting parts cannot be mounted on motorcycles helmets, they are flat and not curved.

If you had to choose between the brave 7 and the v50pro which would you choose? For a family vacay with lots of pool time and a lazy river. Thanks

i just purchased the Brave 7 for my bike as a safety cam of sorts, that and for something i can use to do things with the kids and try and capture some of their outdoor activities. I noted the sound is ok for what i need and the video seemed to be ok. I ordered mine from Amazon and noted that the battery and card doors are different. They have a finicky little slide clip like switch vs the older push button release. I am not sure which way is better but i am guessing that was part of the redesign.

I am just thankful i have something that is functional. For me it was around $210 CAD after taxes, and cannot compare what it would cost me for a GOPro or an OSMO. At least for my minimalistic use, its a great value.

I really wish they hadn't discontinued the Brave 6 plus. I don't get why they did. They still sell older cameras. Honestly I think it was better than this one

I would have considered the Brave 7 but the audio is ridiculously bad.

How would I know if I'm getting the updated version or the bad one?

The AKASO Brave 7 Action Camera showed good potential but not there yet. i experienced condensation in the inner lens every single time, after 5 mins of operation, making it totally unusable. I don't recommend anyone getting the current version until they are able to fix this fundamental issue.

What i would like to know is, what is the standby time on the akaso cams? I am an avid fishing guy and i don't need to record all the time but when i want to, then i need the cam ready to go. I had one of these cheaper cams and standby was max 60-80 minutes, that is not much when you consider a fishing day can be up to 12 hrs or more.

How about external mic?

It might be a good idea to make a video based on cameras that have not only great 4k but 1080. It seems they either have one or the other but few have both that would be the perfect camera for me and I'm sure many others. BTW Great job as usual on this video!

Is this updated ver came from software update or a returned hardware? Also, the audio from your vid is adjusted or untouched raw?

I'm looking to get one, but kinda hold back due to the audio issue reported in many reviews.

I have seen reviews for the Brave 7-LE. The video quality of the LE is not as good as the Brave 7 or Brave 6 Plus. But the LE has the best audio of the three (by a large amount). Why can Akaso get the same good audio quality in their new models? Can't they just use the same internal mic hardware, the same mic firmware, and similar mic placement? For me, video and audio are important (and I don't want to have to use external mic options). C'mon Akaso, you have a really good overall product (value per dollar) - but each model misses on one or the other when it comes to video/audio. It's the only thing stopping me from purchasing some of these for my video work. C'mon!!!!
