ОтветитьI want to think the wax is going to add some moisture resistance and additional adhesion. I am inspired to create something as my line of products is being based on upcycled wood, pallets and ruff cut saw mill discards.
ОтветитьWhat is your binder for the sawdust?
ОтветитьWhat type of glue u use?
ОтветитьThe sleeve is a good idea. If left in contact with damp soil, the wood will swell... Just like a sheet of OSB left in the rain for an extended period.
ОтветитьHi Robert, this is Robert. I got your plans yesterday and it has a small problem. I did the inside sleeve twice, and both times the bottom fell off. Is there any way you can add 4 or 5 mm to the bottom, that might fix the problem. Then send me an update because I can't use cad programs, and this looks like it is something that is very nice. I would have done this on the Esty email, but it wouldn't let me. Waiting for a reply. Thank You. Bob
ОтветитьHow did you grind up the wood shavings to make them smaller?
ОтветитьYou might as well make them out of particle board that you can then wet and rub for the same look. You can even give them the marble effect by dragging a feather dipped in your contrasting color and randomly pulled across the surface.
Ответитьit looks great...less judgements looks like cork
ОтветитьI have been trying to make bee tubes for solitary bees using wood with out logs so I got tooth picks and turned them to sawdust and thank u
Ответитьlol GOOGLE: "I accidentally ate sawdust that i thought was granola bar..." I fell off my chair hahaha!
Ответитьthis is great man
Ответитьtheres one thing about it thats good, u should be able to drop them and they dont shatter!!! thanks for the demo, i think its good to go, if someone could get it to look less like musli it probably would be a good thing. but probably it looks to go for me to try.
ОтветитьWe were just now working with sawdust, glue and food coloring because we needed detail but abhor epoxy resin. Don't get me wrong, we have a fiberglass boat and I think it might make a good waterproof coating for the inside of sawdust containers. Best edited video ever and my wood scrap pile is taking on a life of it's own.
ОтветитьCan we reduce weight using saw dust?
ОтветитьI'd like to see something like this, but made with a biodegradable glue like starch glue or something along those lines. That would be pretty cool.
ОтветитьYou will need to drill 1/4" to 1/2" hole in the pot bottom for drainage
ОтветитьReally cool to see the process behind your ideas and making them reality. Love to see it!
ОтветитьYou're absolutely amazing!! the editing is frickin awesome, and your humor is one of the best parts about your videos, I loved the way these turned out and its so creative, top notch stuff man and I'll always be waiting for your new videos!

ОтветитьA comment to support the channel
Pots came out so nice and have this deserty look that's perfect for succulents or cacti
Also I kinda liked the first try with different coloration, it gives something like granite
love your content!
ОтветитьOver a year ago I thought of the same idea but haven't had a chance to make it because of my printer having several issues. I plan to do it with more fine sand dust and more glue so it has a smoother look I also wanted to dye or stain it interesting colors but it's cool to see someone make something I thought randomly a while back
ОтветитьJust found you today and Im addicted to your videos lmao, great quality and editing for your videos bro ❤
ОтветитьYou may get better results mixing the water and glue before adding it to the saw dust.....Though MDF and particle board aren't held together with normal wood glue they use glue that's activated with heat and pressure. They also use the lignin in the wood fibers to glue everything together. That's what the water is used for it turns into steam which heats the lignin in the wood up activating it.....Anyhow seeing as all that is way too much for a small shop. Another idea is to maybe use a low viscosity epoxy resin to bond the sawdust together. That should solve the drying issues and probably make for a more durable end product.
ОтветитьAwesome
ОтветитьJust found your channel today, and you are really inspiring and motivating, I really look up to you and the insane quality of your videos and projects!

ОтветитьBro ur too funny love urs vids anytime they drop I’m super happy
ОтветитьI think that the first marbled design was actually my favorite! All of them were still super cool, and a great use for old sawdust!
Also, the editing on this video is super good. The integration of 3d models for visualization was really well done.
cool vid, hope ur channel blows up
Ответить“You are harsh… but fair…” 😂💀
ОтветитьYour videos cheer me up. Dude you are awesome
ОтветитьCan you make an Alessi themed lamp? Think it would be really interesting, and you certainly have the skill 👍
