I think this is still her best one

I just rediscovered this song after about two or so years since it came out, and I've gotten a much stronger appreciation for it. I underwent a traumatic loss last September, and although I don't want to go into details, the grief and the sheer numbness I've felt has made me feel like I wouldn't be able to survive this year. Kind of the "I'm exhausted, I'm tired, I can't fucking do this anymore" kind of feeling. Thankfully it's getting slightly easier with each passing month, and finding this song again has definitely helped me re-evaluate where I am right now, and even if I long for days I won't be able to re-live and a timeline where I could undo my mistakes, it's better for me to stay in the now and just look forward as much as I possibly can.

I can't turn back the clock, I only get one life. I shouldn't spend it lamenting on what could have been and long for what I've lost. As you yourself said once Calli - "​It’s okay to feel sad when one story ends. It’s also okay to keep remembering it happened." Thank you.

I hadn't heard a calli song in almost a year. I realised I didn't even remember the melody of this song despite hearing it so much back then. So I came here to listen to it again, and it reminded me how magical it is. A perfect song, happy to be addicted to it once again.

I still have memories of this song releasing when I was in the deepest trench of my depression. Somehow, the lyrics resonated with so many of my life's struggles that I had been feeling for what felt like ages, and it helped me wake up to a new direction I realized my life needed to go. No longer was I going to dwell on my own sadness, I realized my purpose was to help others through their own. I needed to become a light for people, and love myself before I could love others. In a blind sea of gray it gave me a map that finally gave me my vision back, my happiness back. I'm proud to say 2 years later, I've done nothing but try the best for not just everyone around me, but for once, myself as well.
