1 Server with 100 players is what we currently have in the PU so it was not uncommon to make it from hab to spacesport without really seeing anyone.
3 Servers with 500 players was a lot more full and most everything worked except ATC was very delayed.
6 Servers with 1000 players was pretty unstable from the start and I didn't make it past the train.

The testing ended (for me) in the most classic Star Citizen way it could have. 10/10 would recommend. The config they're leaving up overnight is 3:500.

Apparently CIG sounds like it's the kind of place where the right hand doesn't know it has a left hand, let alone what it is doing. As any popular company knows, you can't piss-off too many of your consumers or you won't be in business very long. In March 24, the active user base was over 500k and today it's barely 50k. That speaks volumes. If things don't change and CIG doesn't start appeasing their player base, they won't need server meshing because at this rate, by the time it's ready (2028? 2029?), the active player base will be down to about 5k.

I know commenting will help your channel and I wish you all the best, but SC is a ripoff! You pay them to do their testing for them! It wouldn't be so bad if the game wasn't so buggy. But for the current game state, their starting out prices are ludicrous, especially considering their funds raised are already over $700million. You want a larger more indicative testing base to gain more info to make progress, you lower your prices. You dont give a shit about your fanbase and just want to rake in the cash, you set up multiple dev branches to add features that break easily/dont work at all but lure new players in and instead of fixing stuff properly, just keep making new additions as a distraction. If you cant get a stable game in 8 years, you probably never had the intention of getting it ever... I'm surprised their devs stay with them, they should have caught on by now. Or do they just keep hiring noob devs?

Interesting stress test. It's great they're scaling the server tech to handle this many entities and connection, I think 100 players is the sweetspot for now though from a gameplay perspective. 500 players is far too many for 1 or 2 systems imo, nevermind 1000.

Interesting. But not convinced of anything. If CIG ends up making a good game in the end, I will celebrate with every other hopium huffer in the verse. Until then, my opinion remains the same: CIG sucks (not the devs, just the management and marketing)

I still doubt we are going to get 4.0 this year BUT I have to say that these tests are promising. I wish them all the best, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I see the same performance of a normal new/fresh PU server. Can't wait for the real day to day persistence to bring everyone back to reality :)

Turn that Gsafe off (unless you want the ship to be restricted of course)
It’s a keybind only now which is suuuuper helpful for newer players lol

Bro! That was incredibly cinematic! We are so close to having server meshing implemented. Imagine having your everyday activities being surrounded by so many ships and players. Star Citizen is changing and getting better in front of our very eyes!
