You have saved my Sunday, I had sat painfully the whole day trying to hack network updates. Your Video showed up and I have hacked it.

Hey Mitch, can you tell me what's the point of checking the capabilities inside onAvailable()? When we register a network callback, we pass a network request with some conditions, in our case with the "NET_CAPABILITY_INTERNET" capability. The network callback will be executed if only our network request was satisfied. E.g. if you will specify only TRANSPORT_WIFI in your network request, switching mobile data on/off will not trigger a network callback.

I have had a lot of flakiness on my callbacks actually getting invoked from the ConnectivityManager, has anyone else had issues?

I read 2 articles and still have a lot of questions, but this video explains everything perfectly. Thanks!

I'm really sorry at the point but yo uare just keeping check of whether your network is connected or not. It doesn't sure that you can route on internet or could request a ping successfully.

Thank you. BTW there's a bug. Imagine my wifi is on and cellular is off. I open the app, I turn on the cellular network and after that, I turn off the wifi. It disconnects and reconnects again.
One of the way to fix this is to post the livedata after 500ms delay

Please I am having this error: "unresolved reference: DoesNetworkHaveInternet".
Located in the ConnectionLiveData class.
Please what should I do to resolve it.
