ITP evaluated Spermidine and found it does nothing
ОтветитьHi, thanks for the video, I'm considering getting the Donotage spermidine, 8mg is a lot comparing with other supplement, do u have some issue with the quantity? It's possible to split the doses? Thanks
Ответитьkiss ,keep it simple
ОтветитьI wish I could ask you some questions, like, doesnt your stomach hurt with all those supplements you ingest? Mine goes insane, it hurts and i get nausea. If you can, let us know.
ОтветитьThank you for all your hard work it is greatly appreciated by us all. Please keep up the great work and I look forward to watching your progress
ОтветитьSpermadine, as per resveratrol, have been debunked as anything anti-ageing. It may have other benefits though.
ОтветитьOrganic Wheat germ costs less.
ОтветитьThe ITP trials (the gold standard in mice testing) rejected testing spermidine. My recollection is that they indicated that when they fed mice spermidine, it did not meet their absorption requirements for testing substances. This is unfortunate.
ОтветитьThe supplement costs $69 for 8mg/day for one month. 100 g of mushrooms contain 8mg and costs less than half as much, and it contains ergothioneine as well. Rice bran is also a rich source of spermidine. The spermidine in it costs more than in the supplement, but it's rich in many other things, it's very fiber, high in protein, tocotrienols, ALA, phytosterols etc...
ОтветитьIt's hard to get Spermidine to levels of biological relevance with oral supplementation. I've been thinking of using the precursor to Polyamines, Ornithine, to try and boost its levels.
Granted, certain metabolic pathways and reductase that help convert it to polyamines can be downregulated with age.
👍Thank you Richard!
ОтветитьWhich is the better brand renue by science or donotage
ОтветитьThank you Richard.
ОтветитьGreat review, Richard. Very helpful, I have been looking for more info on spermidine as Dr. Sinclair also mention he's start taking it.
ОтветитьI get 20 to 25 mg of spermidine a day from the food I eat. Mainly from 5-6 oz of mushrooms a day.
Other have noted wheat germ as a very good source of spermidine also.
The supplement costs more than a dollar a day for the 4mg dose. The same dose can be obtained by adding ~8g of wheat germ into a bowl of cereal. Organic wheat germ costs $20 for a five pound bag on Amazon which works out to 7 cents for a daily dose. This is 15 times less expensive than purchasing the supplement...
ОтветитьThank you for the great video. I personally eat 30g of wheat germ every day with my oatmeal for breakfast. The manufacturer (Dr. Grandel) states the spermidine content of his product as 48mg per 100g. That means I'm taking 14.4mg spermidine through the wheat germ alone. This is of course far from 356mg ... but you're right: even with a supplement, that would be a challenge. 3.3mg per day sounds much easier to achieve, of course.
ОтветитьI wonder what a diet with efficacious levels of spermadine would look like?
ОтветитьExcellent information presented very clearly. Thanks!
P.s., Do you have a list of the supplements you are currently taking?
Thanks, Richard. Have been watching you for a while and finally subscribed.
Spermadine does, indeed, seem to be a great aid to autophagy and thus overall health. But all of the supplements on the market are very expensive on a per mg. basis compared to getting it through the diet - for example, it is plentiful in wheat germ, peas and older cheeses. I will continue to get my Spermadine that way.
Thanks again Richard; Your videos are getting more dense and crisp. Wonderful! Please know that you are hugely valued. Roger
ОтветитьWould be nice to compare Spermidine with PQQ, another mitogenesis and excellent anti-oxidant.
