To understand Single National Curriculum one has to understand the meaning of curriculum. Pakistan has been always following single national curriculum. PTIs SNC has been inclusive of basic madrassa needs or wants. And it was successfully implemented. This curriculum was reviewed by most prominent modern educationists. Unfortunately the critique on it is not from educationists who are well versed in philosophy, sociology and economics of modern education.

Present madrassa system is product of colonial rule. Madrassa nizamia was founded by seljuks and his PM Nizamulmulk in 11th or 12th century. It has undergone much changes. If you want to look at the modern Islamic schools, you should research Yusuf Islam's schools in South Africa. Many countries have opted for that model.

Muzammil you said philosophy had no place in Pakistan, you have no exposure to GC or Oriental College, Old campus PU.
Its true that psychology and ither social sciences have taken the place of philosophy and then business and management and then IT has taken the top position and draws the best if talent.

First of all the purpose and definition and scope of philosophy in Islam is very different from the West. West start their knowldge from Greeks, whereas the Muslims had refined Greek philosophy a lot.

If anybody wants to read sociology and economics of Islam. That person should read Musa sey Marks tak, by Syed Sibt e Hasan.

In order to understand Muslim Philosophy one should read Syed Hussain Nasr. Shershah says Muttazilla are finished. Sad....what about Mulla Sadra....He is the best philosopher of 20th century. Maulana Maududi translated his book Asfar and reached heights of fame.

If anybody wants to read about philosphy and learn philisophy basics. Read Will Durant, History of Philisophy or story of philosophy.

Sorry to say the kknowledge of Muslim philisophy of Shershah is based purely on Western Writers. At this age his knowledge is flattering, but it is rough, incomplete, and amateur at its best.
