Needed to hear this 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏽
ОтветитьGreat documentary on a subject I have spent a life of studying and working on a quantum story of how touch and the search for it with love draws most people into the situations they call friendship, love, family, and the other side that can be crippling life long. What you learn as a child will never be forgotten.
Ответить"Embracing the Power of Touch" beautifully explores the profound significance of this human connection. The documentary reminds us of the irreplaceable role touch plays in our lives and leaves us with a deeper appreciation for this fundamental aspect of our existence. Nice work!
ОтветитьThank you for featuring dancers. Many of us understand and know how to convey that touch is of vital importance.
ОтветитьIs there research or a video explaining when violent touch is used or touch is weaponised. How it affects mental health specifically?
Also any videos analysis the mental health effects of solitary confinement?
Interested in how we use touch to compel our social order.
@dw documentary
…virtual touch? 🙄 I’m out.
ОтветитьI understand how powerful gentle physical touch is. It calms me, takes away pain, stresses and communicates love. I can visually see how peoples moods change instantly with a touch on the back, playing with hair, or a comforting hug (not the robotic ‘polite’ American style hug that I find so annoying) My widowed mom is elderly and has never been affectionate. I show her affection every time I see her. She doesn’t know how to receive such physical touch without revealing how much she enjoys it. 🤭
ОтветитьWe all need a personal dog at home that loves the 😊us cuddles with us whenever we need it. ❤❤❤
ОтветитьThis actually makes me feel broken because I’ve always been pretty touch-averse…handholding and hugs for example do nothing for me and I find them awkward
ОтветитьAs i watch this my nerves are literally spasming... 😢
ОтветитьPsychology just makes common sense facts more boring and complex.
ОтветитьExactly I have tried it gentle touch means the release of happy hormones or Chemicals whatever it may be....
ОтветитьI'm about to watch. Already, I'm reflecting on the enormous negative implications of missing out on human touch for all members of society, over recent years.
The social distancing and self isolation strategies and lockdowns, put in place in recent years place huge stress on individuals. I live in the longest lockdown city in the world. Melbourne Victoria Australia
IM SURPRISED THIS ISN'T A SEEN, talked about topic !!!before !!

MOTHERHOD is the most INCREDIBLE GIFT ! .🎉🎉🎉
The one quote from this video that pretty much sums it up, “what lonely people don’t get is touch”.
Ответитьwhat about you touch female breast without her permission, will get jail, lolz
Ответитьbut if you touch a Muslim woman, will get slap, lols
ОтветитьI developed CFS 27 years ago after having mono. 10 years ago I got Lyme disease and I have been very ill since then with many diagnoses, ie IBS, asthma, arthritis, vestibular migraine. I really think all these symptoms are from CFS rather than separate diseases/disorders.
ОтветитьMakes me think of my dog. I come home from a long day and he goes berserk for my attention, specifically my touch. So i pet and caress him for a few minutes until he is relieved and calm. Ive considered that he requires a certain amount of touch from me every day, and when going without it he becomes desperate for it like a drug addict going without drugs lol. So i do make sure to give him sufficient touches each day as part of his overall happiness. And mine :) Pretty much all of my dogs have been this way, except a husky he was a lone wolf type lol.
ОтветитьSehr gut = very good.
ОтветитьI am a manual therapist, with massage and shiatsu. Some of my clients, mostly older women, come just to be touched in a non-threatening caring way
ОтветитьI don´t think people have the ability to actually remember how does it feel someone´s touch but what they can do remember are those feelings that touch has developed through that person. And that´s what is important. Never mind what nerves was activated during that touch, feelings can actually last a lifetime. Regards. Thank you for the video. It´s very interesting.
ОтветитьTouch, smell, and communication is a bare minimum in the requirement of human nature and compassion. Not to recognize and defend a person’s right and requirement to have such is an insult to humanity and a hindrance to the progression of civilized society. The advancement of such medical knowledge and technology is no small marvel and will be an improvement to our future.
ОтветитьI don't think needing is particularly good for anyone. It's either needing a person to lean on or a God to talk to. Something. I don't consider this important.
ОтветитьI've lived alone for thirty-five years, I would hate to have to live with another person. I like being alone.
ОтветитьIm a touchy person
I dont fell love untill they touch me 😅
Being in a decade long relationship through my 20s where touch was both scary and also affectionate i can confirm this REALLY messes with you.
ОтветитьThis is why companion animals matter so much!! I would rather have contact with animals - much safer than letting men near you!!
ОтветитьI think every bit as important as touch is, - is the reason that men are so very averse to it.

AI touch technology will never replace true human contact. That's just how I feel.
ОтветитьAI skin is okay, but it is being used because we have to have it now.Sad.
ОтветитьTablets will never replace the joy of real human contact
ОтветитьI am a state licensed massage therapist, and this is completely true.
ОтветитьDont remember when was the last time I was fully embraced/touched, maybe when I was still brest fed? haha
ОтветитьSuspicious minds is behind anti touching people. Fear of being hugged, back or shoulder touch, goes back to guilt and shame perpetuated by people who have a hatred towards intimacy.
I was rarely touched or hugged. It affects me emotionally.
Anecdotally, it's always seemed obvious to me that touch plays a huge role in bonding people and forming and maintaining relationships. You can tell this very easily in a romantic relationship, and in a friendship too. A relationship only becomes 'personal', let's say, once you touch. This is very helpful in business, where even if you're at a dinner, or you're in quite an intimate place, as long as you don't touch the relationship stays professional and never feels inappropriate.
It also makes sense evolutionarily, when you see how much primates touch - with play and grooming and everything else. It keeps relationships between partners and between family members strong.
Loved the documentary!
Man as someone who has been touch deprived for now 28Y as a male of life this absolutely hurts so much :(.
Struggle to find someone who touched me apart from my parents 💔
I'm the little sister of two brothers. Once I got 104 fever with severe body ache. I was 12 years old then and they were 14 and 17 . My parents were out for job. My brothers started washing my head with cold water, puting cold compression all over my body and gently massaging my arms and legs. Within 40 minutes my fever went down to 101, I felt much better.
ОтветитьNothing is more depressing than being single and living alone with few friends and watching this documentary. I know God is good but I didn't need the reminder that I'm deprived of a need.
ОтветитьThis comes natural
If it doesn't something is very not integrative
Can't fake, to have it
ОтветитьAs a touch deprived person, I can confirm that hand holding and hugs can do wonders
ОтветитьThis video make me awkward with all those touching 😅
ОтветитьI believe we live in a touch deprived era. Most of our interactions are online and when you leave school/uni and start working you don't have as much time to hang out with friends and when we do, that time is not nearly enough to replenish the longing for physical touch. Not to mention, some touch even if it's innocent and accidental, can be misinterpreted and I think people try to withdraw from touching altogether.
When I was in a hospital with sinusitis as a teenager, I was so scared of the procedures, I always asked doctor's assistants to hold my head still to calm me down. That helped me overcome my fear.
Moreover, it's not just about the touch, rather than being in a room with someone, talking face-to-face. I take language classes and for me this feeling of being together offline engaging in a studying process is the highlight of my week.
Peace in Christ surpasses all understanding
Thanks Lord for your salvation
Thanks Lord for your peace
Thanks Lord for your word.
Psalm 91 Psalm 95 Psalm 124
I grew up to associate touch with fear and love with danger. It's very lonely, and I can only accept affection from 1 person in my life without being uncomfortable. Make sure you never hit kids, or anyone for that matter if it can be avoided.
ОтветитьWhy does the female translator sound stupid? She doesnt serve justice to the health professional. Otherwise its condensending to do it to other people.
