That actually is pretty good list. All of the books are really interesting and short, the classic is described as something big and really hard to understand, and cause of this also boring. Really nice recommendations 😃
ОтветитьDakota! Why I feel you as if you are an old soul? I am an aesthete and I felt same with you. ♥
ОтветитьI’m going to start reading more + list all classic lit books I read! staring off with 2
Frankenstein (Complete) 8/10
A Picture of Dorian Gray (Complete) 10/10
Alice in Wonderland (buying currently)
IS THIS VIDEO DEDICATED TO PHILOSOPHICAL BOOKS COMING?
ОтветитьDear Madam, thank you so much for your descriptions about your favorite books. It was interesting and helpful to me. Your straight and simple words worked a lot. Again, many thanks 😊
ОтветитьOk but Frankenstein kind of is the monster from a certain point of view...
ОтветитьThanks I 100% have adhd maybe this will help my attention span <3
ОтветитьRemember Jesus Loves you ✝❤🤝 .
ОтветитьI just started reading classics again this month. For some reason, I've been leaning more towards Russian and German classics. I started off with short and then went to the long-winded classics. I definitely appreciate the longer books just because you get to see how each character is being developed.
ОтветитьI’m 29 and I’ve never read a book in my entire life. The last time I read a book, I was in elementary school and it green eggs and ham (not joking). You can make it through life without ever reading a book, just look at me
ОтветитьYou look like a Disney princess , and so educated! 😊You must be a delight for your family or friends.

Ответитькрасивый цвет волос.
спасибо за видео.
Obsessed with this, your beginner recs are so spot on! 1984, the picture of Dorian gray and Frankenstein were the first classic books I ever read as a teen and I never looked back, Frankenstein is still my favourite till this day. The only one I’d possibly add that’s worthwhile for beginners is Gatsby - it’s short, most people are familiar with the plot already and there’s some really pretty prose 😊
ОтветитьThank you for feeling like talking to the camera!
ОтветитьDo a video about a little life by hanya
ОтветитьYour cover is Beatiful! 😊
Ответитьomg the stranger? yes. the picture of dorian gray? not until that forsaken chapter with the jewelry and the freaking carpets gets banned, criminalized and forgotten from this world.
Ответитьmy copy of “the outsider” is from the 70’s (was my granny’s) so presumably it’s the translation? genius book either way.
ОтветитьHalf of these were required reading when I was in school, '93-'99
ОтветитьThis was such a wonderful video. I ordered carmilla before the video ended :D Thanks for your wonderful insight.
Ответитьthe picture of dorian gray was so hilarious in my opinion. the irony of it all was very humorous. the whole ideal of him being obsessed with himself gives such pick me energy that its funny to me.
Ответитьi trust you with my life
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! I’m a fan of classic literature and a lot of these you mentioned are in my bookcase! Classic literature is not appreciated as much and it deserves recognition.
ОтветитьPottah!
ОтветитьYou're so pretty 😳
ОтветитьI Love Edgar!!! I have that same book but I have so many of Edgar so it’s hard to find one I don’t have, even if they have some of the same stories, poems or collections. My Favorite Book tho is, is my 85yr old Edgar A.Poe Muse Anthology Book with pull outs of the news clippings from back then including his first Poem that made it to press 😍
ОтветитьI’ve just ordered Camilla which means I’ll have read every book from this list once I’m done. Thank you for your recommendations! The collector has been my favourite so far. I literally lay in bed hugging the book trying to process the ending for 10 minutes 😂
ОтветитьThanks! Really liked the recommendations :)
ОтветитьI liked reading the abridged classics when I was starting out reading and I ended up reading the original text of the classics I enjoyed the most. It helped sift out the books I didn't like and I didn't have to spend weeks sloughing through dense classics I hated. I read the abridged Moby Dick and will probably never read the original hahah
ОтветитьI owe a lot to Poe, if not for him I would never have developed my love for literature.
ОтветитьWas never into reading but i read Beloved by morrison, and I actually got hooked and enjoyed. Figured i try other books
ОтветитьI haven't read that many classics, but one of the first classics that I read was Little Women and it was a really good introduction to them since its so fun and easy to read (though it is a bit long)
Ответитьshe remind me of Enid from Wednesday
ОтветитьI love classic literature
ОтветитьGreat
Ответитьi think i love you
ОтветитьI personally just jumped into the deep end and started to crawl through Crime and punishment and such, but I'll definetely read these books next. I've been reading that book for 2 months now lol.
Also I am in love with the way you speak.
My first contact with classic books was Hamlet by Shakespeare, i addicted 😅
ОтветитьIn the book "The Death of Ivan Ilyich" Tolstoy writes about his friend IRL. Ivan Ilyich Mechnikov was a city prosecutor during his lifetime. He also had a brother, Ilya Ilyich Mechnikov, who was an outstanding biologist with an interesting life. His brother tried to kill himself several times and each time unsuccessfully, he even infected himself with a deadly disease on purpose and survived.
Ответитьworthwhile .
ОтветитьThe sun shoved its light on my dimly lit dreamy face and a yawn left the lips... I was awake..... The life is a new glimpse of a new day... An beginning to a yesterend
Ответитьi love love love the outsider !!! 💗💗💗
