I think AMD is 2 years ahead than Intel after they announced Zen3 , Intel won't be able to boost the IPC up to 15% over previous generation(Usually 6% per generation) .

Wrong numbers there. 3600X = 4.4Ghz. The 3600 is the 4.2ghz part.

I have 2600x with 3080 and game at 4k.
Most of the time my cpu usage shows 30-40% while gpu shows 90%. SOTB bench showed the gpu graph always above the CPU and gpu bound was 90%
Does this mean that I dont have a cpu bottleneck?

AMD promised all this AM4 socket compatibility and now the truth is that the latest chips will not work with the the earlier AM4 boards at all. Sounds like a bait and switch.

Now AMD has removed the cooler on their top chips which reduces manufacturing cost for those products but still taken a pretty good price increase. If Intel does something like that all the AMD fanboys go on an Intel the evil empire rant and how they screw their customers over.

Poetic Justice, Intel will now be the performance/value chip while AMD jacks the prices on their newest generation chip that still does not match Intel's 5 year old technology in boost speeds and is barely exceeding last generation 5 year old technology in gaming performance.

I see a repeat in history from a decade and a half ago where AMD jumped to the top for a very short time and the Intel sends them back to being irrelevant for years.
Intel is still in the game with 5 year old tech and when they get the new process working correctly their gains may be remarkable as to what they are doing currently.

Got a 3700x 65w tdp in a dan A4 with 92 mm asetek aio water cooler, 105 tdp out of the question in terms of thermals?

I feel like I got shafted as far as upgradeability. I bought a asus prime x370 and a r7 1700 about 3 years ago in hopes to upgrade in 2 - 3 years to the last AM4 supported chip since they said AM4 would be supported. I wanted to start the gen on the first ryzen chips, and then upgrade in the end with the last ryzen chips. But now I cant do that unless I buy a new board. And there is really no point since this is the last chips they are making for AM4. I might as well hold out for AM5 lol. But we cant predict the future so its some coom bay ya shit. Imma just stick with my rig til AM5 and get new nvidia cards too, or AMD if they make a come back.

These prices make me want to wait to see what Intel puts out. I don't get into these my brand vs your brand wars. Everyone seems super excited that a product releasing months after its competitor is a little better. That is great, but shouldn't that be expected. And finally, when they aren't behind, they charge noticeably more. So instead of being super impressed, I'm mildly interested. I'm in no hurry to upgrade since it seems I will be waiting until 2021 for an RTX 3080.

Looks great, but... For productivity (Blender cycles rendering, Resolve editing/rendering, etc.) is it worth getting a 16 or even 12 core CPU if you're basing the system around a 3080 or 3090?
