You can find out if your computer has a solid state drive (SSD) or hard disk drive (HDD) from the Task Manager on Windows 10 or through powershell.

You can determine which type of storage you have from the "Performance" tab in the Task Manager. This means you won't need any other software to do this or to open the case of your PC.

Overall, an SSD will benefit you a lot more than an HDD because of its faster speeds. This is especially the case if you are into gaming and other intensive tasks.
