This is what it means when one says “it takes a village”. Inspiring story and I highly recommend the book “Not Impossible”. Great work Mick!

Un'iniziativa lodevole, che restituisce l'indipendenza a persone martoriate da guerre che non hanno voluto.

THE SUBTLE DEPOPULATION PLAN
MY CHILDREN, DON"T YOU SEE THE BUSINESS BEHIND YOUR SUFFERING?
What happened? You probably don't care ,actually; you just want to be relieved by any means. Your society should protect you; but it fails to do, so. It rather proves to be your WORST enemy. You were totally LOST. All of a sudden, the good SAMARITAN, from the WEST, came to your rescue. Therefore, you CURSE AFRICA and TRUST THE WEST. Your feeling is justified: THANKS TO HUMANITARIAN HELP. The WEST is always the BEST, you confide. Then you hold on distrust your own society, especially, your government. And you are totally right; the one who cares for you LOVES you. You assume, and HATE your people. You remain consistent.
Most African presidents and many elites are corrupted, irresponsible and shameless PUPPETS at the hands of the WEST. Consequently, you see the WEST as your SAVIOR. BUT WHO TRIGGERED THE PSEUDO CIVIL WAR IN YOUR COUNTRY AND WHY?  AND NOW WHO IS YOUR "SAVIOR" ? IS THE WEST REALLY YOUR SAVIOR? Hmm!!! THINK TWICE!
"PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE."
What did the WEST do to prevent your tragedy from happening? NOTHING! Aha !!!
WHY? BECAUSE PROSTHETIC ARMS IS A HUGE BUSINESS. IT IS A WAY TO IMPLEMENT TECHNOLOGY. SO YOU ARE THE PERFECT GUINEA-PIGS FOR
TOMORROW"S TECHNOLOGY - "IN AFRICA WITHOUT AFRICANS".
Do you get it now? WAKE UP AFRICA!

Give someone an arm, he eats...teach a man how to make an arm...and he lives. Probably one of the most profound, incredible, and beautiful stories I have ever seen...and we think we have problems?

that's amazing. this is the way to implement technology - make it open source, down to earth, simplify so many can use, contribute, build. give people the responsibility and power to help themselves. Now they have tools, they can learn, they have something to do except fight or be victims of war. Thanx so much.

Whatever the application of the technology may be, it is as always, Liberating.
The people making guns may be considered a bit less "humane" in some perspectives, but I think they are certainly more aware of the causes of such atrocities...
