Why do muslims who deliver their talks in english, insist on quoting the quran in arabic alongside the english translation? Its enough to just quote it in english cos most people dont understand arabic so whats the point?? I believe that BOTH instances can be true: that the Qu'ran was a divine revelation that shows too much perfection and foreknowledge to be composed by a mortal, AND that Muhammad was a flawed mortal man, for whom it was impossible to act with perfection at all times and was susceptible to mistakes, occasionally amending revealed knowledge with his own judgement.

Asserting that Muhammad was always perfect in action, words and judgement and to be followed as though HIS word was the word of Allah, is making a idol out him. It is saying he was not mortal, as this perfection is only possessed by the divine, it is the same mistake as was applied to Jesus.

My favourite quran contradiction is the story of who called moses a sorcerer, when moses visits the pharaoh. In two retellings of the same story in the quran the quran states two different people called moses a sorcerer. A clear contradiction.
