How to use a pendulum for the first time!

Does the pendulum actually move on its own? Or do we move it

I've been dealing with ancestral trauma and a pendulum was recommended that it could be helpful. Thank you and Blessings to All.

My pendulum is gathered from found objects. I didn't 'buy' my first one. Being one with the land, I found an Apache Tear that had a neckless attachment on it. After asking if it wanted to be with me, i picked it up. While walking through a parking lot I found a silver chain with a nice ring at the top. Another question as to if it wanted to be with me. I attached the two and it has been my friend for many years. If I tried to physically move it by moving my hand, as shown, it would just stay still - motionless. I purchased one and it didn't like me. After a couple months it broke off the chain. My advice about buying a new pendulum is to touch several then walk away. If it is for you it will call you.

Hi...clarification...I have using a pendulum for a number of years...for my yes, it is back and forth and for no it's up and down. Each person has their own yes/no directions, correct?

Interesting. I bought two pendulums (one stone, one a copper spiral) several months ago, but waited to use it because I didn't find a board/mat I connected with. As I’ve used it more, I find that I can actually make it swing whichever way I really want but I don’t want my will getting in the way of her answers. I was hoping you could offer some help on this? So I resanty started making protection, luck , balance etc bracelets and other jewelry using the appropriate stones and gems but today I made my own pendulum using different gemstones and a small pin attached to the end of the row of the various stones. My question is because I made it myself will it still work . I only resanty started to Embrace my " gift " as my grandmother called it basically I've been able to feel ,hear, see and sometimes communicate with those in spirit and other entities for as long as I can remember but the truth is it always scared me then last August my soulmate and love of my life passed away suddenly and we had been separated living in different countries ( him in the u.s myself in the UK) for 2 years only getting to see each other over WhatsApp ( which we stayed on 24 / 7 even as we slept the phone stayed on our video call) due to my being deported back to the UK due to my overstating my vacation Visa but finally he was booked, bags packet and flying out to me at last for the 31st of August last year...... he never made it I lost him on the 27th of last August just days before his flight because he passed away very suddenly. Sinse then I've been trying to reach out to him using versus tools as well as my gift an normal I can stop seeing those in spirit but my partner will...nothing an I dont know why so I was hoping this method might be helpful. Any advice on how to reach my partner would be very grately received

I find most people repeating the same information w/out really understanding what really Is happening. I discovered pendulum moving by chance and figured out through testing how it works. I tested this and it doesn't matter who the subject is... your energy or feelings control how it moves or the direction it moves in. For example... Clockwise is feeling good about something (anything). I always control it's movement intentionally unless I just want to test my natural feelings about things. Because I tested this w/out fail, I have a hard time believing that anything other myself/ my feelings control the direction of how it moves.

Also do you ask the pendulum show me yes show me no before you use it?

Does all the same rules apply when asking your pendulum and board a question for another person?
