I guess I don't understand. If I have a usb 3 enclosure with a sata SSD inside, or a sata to usb dock, that won't be able to handle it, but if I directly plug into a sata port with sata cables to the ssd, it's supported?

I tried this, and the backup went fine, but the restore when it validated it, it told me that there was a mismatch, and it would not boot. any ideas? thanks

Does this apply to the newest version? I have vmware esxi and going to be running off a scandisk fit 3.1 usb 32gb drive for a install device.
