Does the motor have to be running when bleeding power brakes and all four wheels are disc brakes. Also when one replaces the caliber, shouldn't that wheel be bled first. Reason I ask about the motor is because once about 30 years ago. My husband couldn't get the air out of the brake lines. He learned that the motor had to be running. Once around with the motor running, and all the trapped air came out. Those brakes were finally working like they should. I'm not sure how he knew air was trapped in the lines or line, but he did know. I know this because I was the one that always did the pedal pumping. Thanks much in advance.

Work your way around the car 2 or 3 times?, LOL, heck no,maybe you have all day,I don't. I've been doing brakes for 45 years and never went around the car more than 1 time unless I felt the need to.

Uuum...how cancerous? I just wiped up a big spill with paper towels and bare hands. I thought it was very good to clean with sooo...I wiped all my tools down, cleaned my hands and then used it in my hair to slick it back. I thought it might be good in a salad until I tasted it and found it to strong...my tongue is numb... Should I seek medical help?

Should the person crack the valve open at the same time that the person inside is pressing down on the pedal?

Or does the person crack the valve open AND THEN a small amount of time after the person inside presses down on the pedal?

Great video. Thanks! I keep reading that ABS brakes present a complication for doing this as
the ABS pump needs to be activated with a scanner in order to be
completely bleed properly. Did you you have to deal with this? I am
pretty old so everything I learned about this stuff was prior to ABS
systems for the most part. I'd hate to have to buy an expensive OBD2
scanner with the bleed feature just for this. My old scanner is great
but it does not have the bleed feature. Any thoughts on this? I have a
2004 Armada LE.

Pump the pedal 3x’s a and hold then open the bleeder and the fluid moves through the tube, then close the bleeder screw then tell the pedal person to lift up on the pedal. Put a block of wood under the pedal so it doesn’t go to the floor or that full travel may damage the seal in the master cyl.

You pump the brakes atleast 5 times then hold and open the bleeder then repeat. How on earth are you going to build pressure to get any air out using this method 🤷🏿‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

So I just did a brake job on a 1996 Ford F-150 just a front pads. I didn't bleed the brakes I just pumped and it seems to have good braking power. but the pedal does seem to be a little bit loose and I like a nice solid brake pedal. My question is should I bleed each wheel individually and will that make my brake pedal solid? I hope to hear from you soon thank you

I been dealing with a noise that seems to come from my back passenger tire when I take it off you can tell something has been leaking on my brake caliper area and even onto the inside of the tire and when driving u can hear metal scraping but idk if it’s my brakes or the caliper that needs changed or if it’s the piston in the caliper over taken pics and no one can tell me u got any idea? Also my moms wants me to change her brakes and rotors and she seems to think I’ll need to bleed her brakes though I’ve seen videos where they don’t bleed the brakes they just change the brake out and put it all back tg so should you actually bleed the brakes when u change them?
