I really love your work brother! I would like to offer you a small criticism. are you aware of how much projecting you're doing when you speak about your stories using "you" language? For example you were talking about a dream you had, and instead of saying ""I've" been thinking of things I'm avoiding" you speak as though the other has gone through your experience.

Vibe on, guys!! I just finished Jung's Red Book, am finishing the Kybalion, and, based on Max's recommendation, am also reading the Forge & Crucible. I also hate the word "believe." I prefer "resonate." And, I find that religious traditions that try to understand god intellectually or logically (using terms like "nous" or "gnosis") resonate most strongly with me. Keep up the good work!!!

There's a documentary on Netflix about the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica I came upon recently. When I started to watch it my heart almost jumped out of my chest. Never had an experience like that before, like a pure concentrated "THIS IS IT"-experience. Guess I'm hooked.

I am a fan of Max Derrat. I admire his clarity and precision to introduce Junguian ideas to the general public, specially his video series about Jung's "Aion". I would like he will summarize the theory and book of Julian Jaynes about the origin of consciousness.

Gardening or walking in nature will provide insight into some of these symbols - as will un-siloed study of ecology- the mother of all sciences in my opinion.

Holy shit you nailed it in the beginning where you explained when you maintain consciousness while falling asleep and imagery from dreams connect to your reality somehow but they make no sense. There’s no way to create an equivalence to the images appearing and what it has to do with your life but you can feel these deep “knowings” with them. Man that happens to me a lot in both meditation and sleep. I didn’t realize anyone else had experienced this. I need to learn more about alchemy. still watching this vid!

I am a subscriber to Max's channel, and he truly has made some gems full of insight. I wish he would make videos in these topics about his personal experiences, which I am sure he has had rather than through video games. The Hero's Journey is lived not vicariously through video games, but having real, personal experiences. Also, Silent Hill and all that violence has negative vibrations. It's like Mark Passio talking about the Kybalion and the law of vibrations while playing Nu Metal and heavy with not the best frequencies or vibrations. Some video games are brilliant, indeed, I was a big fan of the Metal Gear franchise, but horror as a genre, be it in video games or movies, I find questionable. Who would want to feel gear and dread? I mean seriously. It is morbid and has extremely negative energy. With all due respect, but I find Max a little bit hard to take completely seriously because of this.

I feel like things just won’t get better

"There are two reasons why man loses contact with the regulating center of his soul. One of them is that some single instinctive drive or emotional image can carry him into a one-sidedness that makes him lose his balance. This also happens to animals; for example, a sexually excited stag will completely forget hunger and security. This one-sidedness and consequent loss of balance are much dreaded by primitives, who call it, "loss of soul." Another threat to the inner balance comes from excessive daydreaming, which in a secret way usually circles around particular complexes. In fact, daydreams arise just because they connect a man with his complexes; at the same time they threaten the concentration and continuity of his consciousness.

The second obstacle is exactly the opposite, and is due to an over-consolidation of ego-consciousness. Although a disciplined consciousness is necessary for the performance of civilized activities (we know what happens if a railway signalman lapses into daydreaming), it has the serious disadvantage that it is apt to block the reception of impulses and messages coming from the center. This is why so many dreams of civilized people are concerned with restoring this receptivity by attempting to correct the attitude of consciousness toward the unconscious center of Self."
