Italy has a huge problem with illegal immigrants, since that is the first country they come to. So don`t take it personally, it`s not meant like that.

I have made a few trips to Europe over the years as an Italian American. My grandparents were both from Sicily , Great-Grandparents etc. on both sides of my family . I do not look American but of course speak English , born and raised in Florida. Sadly, Italy is the worst experience I've ever had and I have traveled all over the Caribbean, Central and South America as well . They simply do not like Americans or anyone else who does not look like them or act like them. If you're not born there, just forget it. Even if you learn the language and try to communicate. If you are disabled and have any kind of mobility issues, they are completely rude and disrespectful to your face. It's hit or miss whether you will be treated nicely or not. Especially in the big cities like Rome and Florence and Palermo. Spain has always been fantastic as well as France. My personal experiences have been mostly disability discrimination, which I did not expect.

You know confuses me like United States I will understand the racism because we had slavery and all that stuff deep rooted issues but like places like Italy China Korea Japan and all these places have deep issues with non-whites Where are they coming from why do they hate blacks or Hispanics and all that stuff

This just isn’t true it’s an anecdotal experience and typically if you are there being respectful and respecting their culture they treat you with open arms. If someone went to any other country and started acting entitled they’d probably be humbled too. I feel like throwing racism around and generalizing a population is exactly what you don’t want done to you yet you are doing it to Italy. Many Italians I have met and have become great friends with I even have cousins and uncles who are Italian they are actually very welcoming kind people. If their skin wasn’t white or if they weren’t European and idk what experience you had but you had the same experience, but instead with a bunch of Nigerians would it still be racist? Would you generalize all Nigerians? Because again there are nice people and then there are assholes everywhere you go. This type of messages actually does more harm because it makes people who are not black more weary of people who are black no one wants to be accused as being racist nor have their entire country called racist.

Once us black people start actually remotely like them will they being to change their behavior but we so concern to have their approval. Also it's not racism on our end as black people, because racism deals with power, black people don't have that type of power to determine what you end , what you drink, your hospital treatment, denial of housing and loans.
