Total War Warhammer 2 Review

Been looking for a game to get me into the Warhammer universe. I've been interested for awhile, but all the games seem to be mid shooters. In addition to them just being ok, I'm not sure how deep the lore actually goes since that's what I'm interested in. Unfortunately, Total War just isnt my cup of tea from what I can tell.

I mean yes, but is it really racist if it's also accurate that skaven are just a race of absolute failures that should all be exterminated like the annoying little pests they are? Especially when it's the best faction against the worst? ^^

I have made a analogy of the game if you have a good pc you like battles if u have a ass pc you like the diplomacy manager feel to it i want to get a good pc for the soul reason is i want to see the artillery in low graphics is see threw with max graphics artilerry or units like gun gyrocopters and iron drakes look badass

Is it weird that I really want to see this team take a crack at setting a total war game in AoS, if nothing else just to see how the idea of relms could be incorporated.....




Also I want to see them add Idoneth Deep kin because they are like my favorite thing ever and they only exist in aos.

I love that I knew EXACTLY which track you were doing for Rome. Jeff van Dyck's work for Rome and Shogun 2 were amazing.

Creative Assembly are genuinely some of the most talented devs in the industry. There attention to detail is insane. The fact the made Alien isolation is insane. Cant imagine alot devs been able to successfully transition to other generes like that so successfully

Seeing the sections of Chaos Warriors and Beatmen made me appreciate just how much better the Beastmen rework in game 2 and Chaos Warrior Rework in Game 3 made things better for both. From the two worst factions to possibly 2 of the most fun in the whole roster.

Coming back to this video has made me realize how much they took Mandalores ideas on warriors of chaos to heart

This is easily one of my favourite reviews of yours, Mandy. Not least of all because you use the Baldur's Gate 2 music. Fucking love that shit, hits me in the nostalgia.

Every time I come back to this video, it's absolutely insane to me just how much influence you very obviously had over changes that made it into the game.
I mean, seriously, either you literally wrote this with the planned notes from the whole dev team, or you called out the chaos warriors rework in almost its entirety, the beastmen rework in its almost entirety, the wood elf campaign changes, the greenskin changes, and more. I mean, damn. I know some of it is just the easy, obvious stuff, but some of it is a bit more oddly specific.

Warhammer is what happens when role playing lord of the rings nerds take themselves far too seriously.

Its so frustrating to fight a siege battle as a Monster-heavy race like the Lizardmen or Tombkings because you straight up cant use your monstrous units on walls. They cant participate in siege battles. My typical late game Lizardman Siege defense consists of ignoring the walls entirely except for maybe a Hunting Pack.
