Uninstall Microsoft Edge Easily With A Simple Trick

All my browsers crash frequently (almost every time I open them) what should I do. Please help anyone

the uninstall option appears but even after clicking uninstall edge does not go away, it just stays there as if i didn't click uninstall

I am in the EEA and it does not work, uninstall is greyed out, what's more, when I set my default browser to other, it never works:) it says it is set to Brave or other, but when I open a link it opens Edge haha :D microshit is a joke

Unfortunately, this didn’t work for me, Win10 or Win11.

What happens to links and stuff that you click on that need Edge to render when there is no Edge? The whole PC doesnt even respect the default browser change, so frustrating.

Funniest thing for me was when I clicked on this video, guess who's advert was shoved in my face at the outset ... yeah you guessed it, M$. Seemed such a bizarre co-incidence. Almost as if they wanted to "get their retaliation in 1st" 🙂

I installed the Rufus app from the Microsoft store, and I can’t uninstall it. It also didn’t work. Useless app. All optional software should have an uninstall option.

Another great video Brian, I stumbled at the 1st registry change, as I was told that I cannot edit "DeviceRegion". I was in the Admin account at the time. Have Microsoft closed the ability to change this?

Went over the precedure twice in Windows 11pro, it didn't work. I'm currently in the EU with my PC set to region GB, however on following your precedure I used Ireland 68 IE (EU). In the Uninstall/ Change window it only allows for a repair not an uninstall?

I'm on Win 11 23H2 with all latest updates. Followed this method to the T and it didn't work on my system. The uninstall option is still grayed out. I went over it two times in case I'd made a mistake. Also rebooted each time. Strangely it's still shows my original country under region not Germany.

Neither method worked here in Aus

If i don't change country code back Will this cause a problem with updates ?

Doesn't work in the ARM version, unfortunately.

I uninstalled Edge from Windows 10 , and this caused an update to fail, giving some useless error code. I finally found the clue to the problem 6 months later on some obscure web site.

Will it work on Win 10 too?

My problem is I can’t get Edge to run on my fairly new Win 11 laptop. Wherever I go to launch it (desktop, start menu, program files) nothing happens. I’ve reinstalled it but it just won’t run.

This is why people need to switch to Linux. The more people that dump Microsoft and Windows, the more pressure there will be on companies to give more support to Linux. Linux will never force you to use apps you don't f-ing want.

Nice one Brian I do like your regedit hacks as i have followed you since Windows 7 days and I now live in Australia (expat Sussex) where currently you cannot uninstall Edge and this will be so helpful mate. I am left just wondering why the hell does Microsoft make up these absolutely ridiculous rules/situations like this one with Edge as I can see no reason for them to do that!! It smacks of either incompetence or sheer bloody mindedness.

Britec will release any video except the one with system tweaking. Sigh.
