I Tried to Clear the Raid Tier in Party Finder

This tier is my first tier trying savage raiding. I'm not gonna lie. Having a thought time, lol

One thing I love and hate of FF14 is that is requires coordination of a group of strangers. When it works in beautiful. When it doesn't work is hell.

i’m currently trying to squeak in a last minute p8s clear and the end of this is so fucking relatable i just want out of p1 i’m in hell

i’ve put at least 12-16 hours and only seen p1 enrage once, not because i don’t know what i’m doing, but because finding a party that can even get past fourfold is impossible

The only option I have for doing these raids is PF because all of my friends are not interested in high end stuff and this was my first tier where it was current and I was max level. I did one PF group on p5s, I was the only one wiping us because I had never done that fight before much less savage raiding in general, and they were all clowning on me and left :/
It wasn’t even a clear party, it was prog but I didn’t understand the language or what they were trying to explain to me so I just haven’t gone back :///
I’ll stick with the regular fights for now. Maybe next tier…

p7s is where I'm hardstuck in PF. Not because it's the hardest savage raid. Not because the group is fresh.

No, something much worse...because the group is either drunk, high or it's been four months since they've done it and they're sure they know exactly how the fight goes as well as their own class's rotation without any warmup lol.

I know this because fresh groups consistently do MORE DPS!!! than these vet groups, despite them having worse gear lol

I have only done one Savage fight, and that was Titan. Because I wanted that sweet Edengrace Mail of Maiming.

Only now rewatching this video I noticed you creating the PF as a Lancer, every second of this video is pure gold.

I was determined to clear this tier week 1 or 2 and took me 5 weeks. P8S was 5 of those weeks.

The true nightmare with p8s during the 3 first weeks was this totally mad dps check on p1......
Ive cleared p5s day 1, p6s day 2, p7s day 4, but it took me 4 weeks for p8s... I have reached 50%-51% HP on p1 like 100 times...1st day of week 4, after the nerf on dps check, we 1st tried it with a pf team kill party and the day after I cleared p2.
I think I have seen like 2 pf prog on p2 during the 3 first weeks...

Question about the distance of Hegemone's attacks during Cachexia: why be close enough to her that overlapping is a big concern? Does something bad happen if the closest person(s) to her are the correct one(s), but out in the middle of nowhere?

honestly i enjoy the chaos of PF. as long as you clear within the first few weeks, you can typically have a pretty good experience. clearing late into the tier can be quite challenging since most of the people who haven't cleared by that point are there cos they suck

I cleared this week one and just now figured p6s boss is a chick...

So my first tier and first raid is p5s. Finally I can do devourer 80% of the time
-Why am I on the tower alone? wiped
-Why am I ded on the tower alone again?? for the nth time. wiped
-Ooh surprisingly smooth early stages even devourer
-Why is melee dps on the corner my d4 place? wiped
-Another run with another party. haven't even reach devourer. wiped
-Finally smooth sailing, just 15% left.... my internet froze, got dced. when I came back in already repf with someone else in the pos...

Don't feel like doing raiding. with pf the member is just way too gacha.

Off topic.. but i always found the term "static" as very stupid. It seems like an overly pretentious name created because someone was too lazy or malding about another game to say "raid team"

as my first time doing all this using party finder... it was all a breeze... i was always told it would be a nightmare... it was not.

I'm thoroughly convinced every ounce of toxicity in this game is funneled to PF raid groups, and it has completely ruined the raiding experience for me to the point I won't even try finding a static, let alone join a bunch of random people who wish me dead (I'm not saying Cider is toxic, just venting my own crappy PF experience)
