I just went on your video after looking for other videos related to Bhutan. Reminded me my own trip to that country (a quite complicated trip from Paris, France) where I stayed for a few days for a local event about Free Software back in 2006. It's like 17+ years from now and I still remember each and every detail of that amazing trip. I still amazingly proud of having this privilege back then. And, for what's is worth, I had a les impressive landing and takeoff as we were in coulds......but I remember going to Paro for one of the days I was there....and enjoy watching planes landing and taking off with a local fellow who knew the Right Spot to witness this. Thank you for this nice trip from Katmandu to Paro (I came from Bangkok instead of Katmandu, so the flight was much longer and less enjoyable as we were much far away from the 8000m peaks. I could only see very briefly the Gangkhar Puensum (highest point of Bhutan and the highest unclimbed moutain in the world). I hope you enjoyed all of your trip to Bhutan and not only the flight...:-)

you know its bad when the pilot starts praying

no question about the captain's flying skills... but.. am I wrong in thinking that praying has no place on an aircraft cockpit? whatever your faith or religion may be.... that's not the way to go... "we will land safely because god will help us"... i'm sorry but that's not right..we will land safely because of proper training, proper planning and following proper procedure... at least thats my opinion

Great video and a lovely captain who knew his skills thorough and yet humble. Could not escape a chuckle when he said he is praying to Buddhist god; Buddha did not believe in god. But shows even the most experienced believe in divine since only so much is under our control

We traveled on DrukAir…. Landing process was very bumpy due to high wind speed, yet views were so beautiful. Paro / Bhutan- oh so beautiful… missing it so much ❤️
