It’s either this or I become an art teacher idk… I’m leaning more towards this though but also I could be a graphic design teacher as well but idk making choices like this in high school is hard

My local community college ae an associates degree in graphic communications as well as graphic design certificate. I plan to do the degree, it teaches graphic design and the many in the category, but also coding if wanted

Corporate field is not an option for me I’m tatted up in many visible areas . How’s tattoo culture in graphic design ? I know here in California specifically Los Angeles most companies are very welcoming towards tattoo individuals but not sure about graphic designers.

i really like this field (i’m at 9th grade atm) and i do some things art related like graffiti and stuff but i’m not rly good at drawing. should i give up or i stay arround?

Mostly all of my trade or skills are self taught, i would recommend you get a certificate of some sort, you don't have to go to school, but having a certificate at least where i live is so important pay-grade wise you could do exactly the same as someone with a certificate or more even and you would still get paid less because you don’t have a piece of paper. so i learn on my own and then get a certificate to prove i'm good at that skill, unfair? yes, but whatchya gonna do! be safe everybody and remember you can do anything you set your mind to.

As an absolute beginner, my number one problem is coming up with ideas or not knowing where to start. Idk what I’d do next after making a logo, mocking set ups, what fonts I could use, if I need to include photography or how can I incorporate all of them into a portfolio and I’m honestly overwhelmed since graphic design is my upcoming major but idk where to even begin even after a simple sketch.

Is graphic design and visual design same?
I want to study graphic design but the university that I want to apply only provide Visual Design course, So I have a doubt that graphic design and visual design is same or not.

i’m so lucky my highschool offers a paid for and free careers school i can take a 2 year graphic design class for free and looks great on a resume

I learned how to edit photos in both Photoshop and Lightroom last summer. I am intrigued to learn more with Photoshop. My major is Communications with a concentration in both video and audio production. I am graduating this spring. I would like to become a graphics designer and use the graphics for videos.



Hello, I decided to continue on with my education for a bachelors degree but need help deciding for a major and Im narrowing down the options between graphic design and digital marketing, If i were to get a job as a web designer, would my chances of getting hired be high if I had a BS in Graphics with a minor in Computer Science?
