❤ stay safe out there chopsy!
ОтветитьSorry you pranged it, main thing is you're ok. And good that you showed what happened - so easily done...
ОтветитьNice riding but its ur fault crashing it giving lil gas on that corner and the traction control kicks on and u slide sadly
ОтветитьI feel bad giving this a thumbs up tbh!
ОтветитьGlad you are ok Chops. Great video though 👌
ОтветитьIt happens on track days. It will wash out 😊
Maybe look at Carrera glasses. Got mine at Costco and they’re great at not slipping with flexible sides. Maybe they contributed as bloody distracting when move down your nose.
I think you have found my most unattractive angle 😂😂 weekend was absolute blast (besides the crash bit obviously 😂)
ОтветитьI know what you mean, you get sucked in to going faster and faster. I felt the same when I did a track day a few years ago - I was relieved that I'd done it and not gone down. Why pull in the mirrors when you're not racing? Also, why didn't the TC prevent the rear tyre from losing grip?
ОтветитьJust been reading the comments and some people are being a bit harsh I think. The other crash they're refurring to I think is the V-strom you dropped out with Greg only a couple of uploads back. I follow Kate also whos binned 2 bikes and dropped another in the last year and she hasn't had as much stick as you have for this 🙄 Would love to a proper review on the helmet as hadn't seen one before and think its a great idea. How did the Kawasaki conpare to your GSXR on track?
ОтветитьGlad you're ok mate, bikes can be repaired and replaced.... Keep up the good reviews and content chopsy 👍🏻
ОтветитьGood video shame about your crash Lam Chop but you live to fight another day.
ОтветитьThe best bike to crash is someone else's! 😂 Kawasaki have plenty of bikes, parts and mechanics to fix it. Why didn't the traction control rescue you?
Where do you rank this when compared to its peers in the superbike bracket?
Difficult to know your limits with a particular bike without at least a ‘scare’. That’s what the track is for. I reckon you were buggered Chopsy. Makes you appreciate the fitness of the pros.
ОтветитьWell done for sharing Mr Chops, love your honesty. It’s going to happen at some point and usually in one of those last sessions when you are going for it, but just a bit tired which can lead to an error. But the main thing is you are OK and Kawasaki will fully understand the risk here.
ОтветитьMate better to crash on the track than on the road , glad that you didn't get get hurt .
ОтветитьCan you tell me
What your lean angles were when you crashed so I know
What my
Limits are 🤣
Glad you are ok. I did the same thing on my ZX10r at Snetterton. So easy just to give it too much throttle coming out of the corner at the end of the session and lose the back wheel.
ОтветитьBeen there - but not on someone else's bike! Hope you don't mind a question, since I've been thinking about one of these - Surely the 10R has slip control and lean-sensitive TC? Were you not past the apex and picking up the power? Isn't that exactly what TC is for? What happened? I don't know the 10R dash at all, but I didn't see a TC light at all in the footage before the crash - I didn't see warmers, so I presume you were on the OEM rubber? My recent experience on road rubber (V4 Tuono at Silverstone and 1000RR at Brands (and GS at Brands, but that's different)) is that the thing's blinking on every corner exit unless you turn the TC way down. If there was no TC light at all in previous laps, how come? Did you turn the TC off? Just re-reading that, it seems a little unsympathetic - sorry about your off, fella; at least it happened while you were a long way over, there wasn't far to fall, was there?!
ОтветитьHappens to the best of us!
ОтветитьHow come the traction control didn't intervene?
ОтветитьHey at least it wasn't the Triumph at Silverstone :)
ОтветитьDon't worry Chops, just think of the millions of quids worth of Honda Marquez has binned this year to no effect....
ОтветитьGlad to hear you weren't injured to badly. Also, it sounded like there was a hard part scraping just before the bike spun out; peg scraping maybe that caused the bike to lose its balance and footing?
ОтветитьWow testament to all the gear you were wearing that you walked away with just a bruised knee.
ОтветитьGlad you are OK. Bikes can be fixed.
ОтветитьIt's happened to many of us Chopsy - certainly me too 🤣 Good to hear there was only minimal damage to yourself mate.
ОтветитьWell done, youre strong we all like you from all over the world, glad youre ok... i know how you feel. But we are proud of you just to be courageous enough to show us this video of your less good experience... Thank you mate
ОтветитьThe Forcite helmet's camera, without image stabalization, makes for an unwatchable video. With action cameras that have image stabalization for 100 dollars, this is un-excusable. Worse, the audio is terrible. A good helmet mic needs to be unidirectional. An omnidirectional mic will always have a lot of wind noise as heard in this video. I'd rate this as a ''not so smart'' helmet.
Ответитьthey're insured mate .. you're ok thats all that matters... bruised ego maybe
ОтветитьLooks like front washed out not rear good riding though up until that point big risk always on racetrack interesting to see a road test of it
ОтветитьYeah, Yeah, Yeah Chops admit it your a donut. I wish it was my bike? my arse do ya! You can give that lip service to Kawasaki boy, but don’t piss on my back & tell me it’s raining! I’ve watched a lot of your videos and I can tell you it was a matter of time, however thank god it was the track & only ya prides been hurt & not ya wallet! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьI'm taking mine to the track next Friday for its first session and I know it's going to scare the chocolate out of me. I bought the bike from a friend who raced in Moto America and it has all the race bits in the engine so it's making...a lot of power. Coming from my ZX6 I'm going to have to completely recalibrate my brain...
But I'm super excited to get it out there!
This is why its important to go on track. Better to have a crash on track than on the road.
ОтветитьNew bike = new tyres I would expect more from a experienced rider
ОтветитьGreat vid spoilt by stupid music...why, the bike sound would have been so much better. Blunt but true.
ОтветитьYou’re scraping the pegs with ease - it’s a testament to how good that bike is.
Crash or not - it’s a great bike.
Glad to see that you are ok!
ОтветитьHaha there's no D in Z. Zed X lol
ОтветитьYep it’s a great project bike for you, good idea 👍
ОтветитьKawasaki have got loads of bikes, no shortage there. Loads more bikes than you've got!
ОтветитьHad you turned the traction control off or simply down?
ОтветитьGood on you for posting this video- the realities and the risks. Glad you ok. I always enjoy your videos and reviews.
ОтветитьHate to see the crash, but glad you’re okay and that Kawi was cool about it! I’m not super fast, but I would stand to bet that your lowside was due to being too stiff/too much weight on the bars. From the rearward facing cam you’re nearly straight-armed…with the speed you were going on that corner, you shouldn’t have lost the rear…get more comfortable & find a way to be barely touching the bars (no matter how tired you are) and you’ll run less lean angle and easily recover from moments like this IMHO!
ОтветитьIts just kawasakis bike dont worry mate!
At least its not some poor dude only bike, they have thousands of those. And they have insurance, also probably earned more than enough revenue and marketing value with you to make up for it ten times.
That ride was fantastic and Kawasaki make very nice bikes the ninja is one of the most badass SS out there , for the crash i think is due to the stiffness of your handling, when going sporty or on the track you must have your arms relaxed and not grab the steering in corner because this leads to crash and this happened also to me , you make very nice vidoes 👍
ОтветитьLamb chops your a beast..you can ride you were on fire and that's when it's getting ready to bite... Hell just buy the bike from Kawasaki $4,000 off asking price you did them good truthful with riding like that.... beast on the green beast...
ОтветитьNever mind the bike , glad you were ok !
ОтветитьWhat happened to the road review ?
ОтветитьI’ll ask again did you do a road review ? I’ve seen your recent 1000 review / comparison.
ОтветитьWhen the back went out chops did you have traction control on ?
Ответить
