Mukti bahini played a major role in weakening of pakistani army. The surrender was smooth because Niazi n his army were afraid of these muktis, kader siddiki or tiger siddiki was one of them. Their surrender actually helped them to go back alive.

I do believe that zulfiqar ali bhutto was on wrong because he didn't have clear victory in elections and mujeeb had at that time. Bengali's mandate was not respected and its human nature to leave that space where he is not respected.
I literally heard words like kaala bengali, bhooka bengali as gaali for people from my own ears and its disgusting. I guess bengalis were rightfully on their side.

First of all, it was mainly a war between Bangladesh and Pakistan, not India vs Pakistan war. India helped Bangladesh to win the war and thousands of Indian army sacrificed their life in the war that we'll never forget but it was never a India-Pakistan war.
