Enjoyed this video
ОтветитьNow do one for one pocket..
1. Never play one pocket for free..
2. Never play in a one pocket tournament..
3. Always try to raise the bet on your break, except when they won’t… Then it’s ok to raise it on their bet.. In general, raise it..
4. Take the free shot..
5. Don’t take a shot that can lose you the game, but cannot win you the game..
6. No shot clocks.. And no tournaments (not sure if I mentioned that)..
7. Do bump the balls, when proper.. We call it the ticky..
8. Always post the money..
9. Always fire an air barrel, if they don’t post..
10. Get the cash, that’s all that matters..
sir you are a genius
ОтветитьJust turned 60 and retired. I’ve been playing friendly pool most of my life, but just now getting serious. I joined APA and NAPA leagues and love the competition. Your videos have immensely improved my skill set. Thank you.
ОтветитьI Watched your vdo many times and learned many things each time, thanks Dr.Dave
ОтветитьDAVE DAVE DAVE YOU ARE SO FUNNY ,,,, ,,AT THE 40 SECOND MARK YOU SPEAK OF PULLING YOUR BALL STRAIGHT BACK AND SHOW YOUR CUE BALL WITH THE MARK WHERE YOU WANT THEM TOO SHOOT,,,,,WHICH IS A LOWER BOTTOM SHOT TO THE MIDDLE YET IF THAT SHOT WAS MADE CORRECTLY YOUR CUE BALL SHOULD DO JUST THAT,,,,,BUT YOU SEE MY FRIEND ( BY NOW I HOPE YOU ARE ) YOUR CUE BALL CAME BACK BUT OFF TO RIGHT,,,,SO YOU WERE EITHER CONFUSED BECAUSE OF THE DOTS ON THE CUE BALL OR YOU HAD BOTTOM RIGHT ENGLISH ( DO YOU KNOW THE TERM DAVID ? ) AND DID YOU REALLY HAVE TO WORK OH SO HARD ON THAT ONE SHOT ?? N PLEASE TELL US ALL WHY DO YOU NEED LITTLE DOTSIES ON YOUR CUE BALL ,,,,,YOU'LL SAY SO YOU CAN SEE WHICH WAY THE BALL SPINS , BUT YOU DON'T NEED LITTLE DOTSIES TO SEE ANYTHING AS IT IS OBVIOUS IN WHICH DIRECTION THE BALL SPINS,,,,,,AND ON YOUR SUCKBACK SHOTS ( OR DRAW SHOTS ) WAS THAT ONE OF YOUR NOW WORLD FAMOUS REVELATIONS ON THIS THEORY OF MAXIMUM DRAW,,,,, OR WAS IT SAY 3/4 OR 1/2 OR 1/4 MAXIMUM ,,,,, PLEASE DAVE GIVE US YOUR " PRO " OPINION " SO ALL OF US RANKED AMATEURS CAN QUICKLY ADAPT,,,,,HURRY PLEASE,,,,
Ответить"Huh - what now?"
Love your funnier moments, Dave.
I need to watch this video about 50 more times.
ОтветитьHey Dr. Thnx you so much for sharing all your pool knowledge. Ive been playing for only 6mo. Playing seriously the last 3mo. Because of your vids, Ive been able to make a Quantum Leap. Ive joined a Pool leaque...
Ответитьthank you sir
ОтветитьSuper helpful! Thanks so much, “have you ever seen amateurs do this?” …I literally do that all the time haha
ОтветитьI really like your 2nd tip here. It is typically hard for me to illustrate the shape zone for beginners I am teaching so this was a great example of that. Though I will warn players that in some places (*cough* Texas *cough*) they do not take kindly to the shot you did on tip 10. Be careful and know the setting you are playing in. There is a difference between playing in a bar with a stranger and playing in a tournament or with someone you know.
ОтветитьFirst example would have been easier to acquire shape by setting up for the opposite angle you chose imo...
ОтветитьThis is very useful, thank you...Thomas, Denmark
ОтветитьEven the best will not run out without solving problems early.
Ответитьwizardry
ОтветитьAre you a doctor doctor? Or PhD doctor? Or honorary doctor? Or nickname doctor?
ОтветитьGreat info as always!
ОтветитьThe thumbs down are from all the guys you beat ! Great vids
ОтветитьGreat video. Like the safety play at the end. I probably lose 90% of my games not playing that way. Going to start. Thanks
ОтветитьYoure crazy accurate with your speed control!
Ответитьwatched all of them..... thank you !!!!
ОтветитьBUEN VIDEO Y EXELENTE PROFESOR LA TEORÍA SEGUIDA DE LA PRACTICA. SALUDOS DESDE COLOMBIA.
ОтветитьAgree with everything save one and it's VERY minor. At the end of the video you play safe and say, "my opponent is not likely to get a hit on their next ball." This statement is correct if your opponent is a beginner or a low intermediate level in my experience. I believe that a true intermediate player has a better than 50 percent chance of hitting it from where you left the cue ball. Safe is the correct play regardless of this, just as you said. Cheers, John Noe
ОтветитьI've noticed lower rated people have tendency to put cue ball in awkward spot even with ball in hand
Ответитьths video just proves im an advanced player.
Ответить...the Run out is easy from here.
Me: I need to look up easy. That word may not mean what I think it means.
What has always got me, are the straight long shots. Cutting I feel like I do really well. But those lines are surprisingly difficult to get perfectly straight.
ОтветитьThis is one of the best pool tips video I’ve ever seen. Thank you 👍🏾
ОтветитьGreat instruction. thank you
Ответитьyou are a very good profissional
ОтветитьDo you think wearing a wrist brace will help you get a better stokes?
Ответить"Draw for show, follow for dough"? I missed that somewhere in my pool career.
ОтветитьGood job helping all the players who love this game and want to learn. Your videos are informative and entertaining.
ОтветитьI always enjoy your videos and I like when you show where to strike the white. Do you think you could do this more often, especially when running round the angles? I am an average pool player but often make the mistake of playing screw shots in order to avoid running side and the danger of going in-off.
ОтветитьI am a pinoy pool game tutor .a game in the Philippines using flat disc .your tips and techniques can be applied in pinoy pool especially in cue stick grip, closed and open bridge ,aiming etc.a video like this can truly help the begiiners.thank you sir.
ОтветитьDr. Dave do you have kids
ОтветитьGreat Video Series. Thank you.
ОтветитьLove your videos!!! Keep up the great teaching and Thank You!
ОтветитьYou're a breast
ОтветитьThanks, Dr. Dave, your tutorials are the best on YT...I'm getting
better thanks to you...
In pressure situation always play shape zone instead of getting perfect it gives you more room to get shape to win especially if your nervous
ОтветитьThis is great stuff but I play my buddies who just wack balls and mess up my plans with each shot. Frustrating but oh well
ОтветитьI have played a lot of pool in the pub and pub rules is basically dont make the game fucked and play like a wuss by doing dog shots like in the last example, its just frowned upon. I play ametuer tournaments now and realise you have to do this to win and is just a part of the game, but i seriously feel like a little bitch trying to snooker my opponent and feel really guilty. Trying to change my mindset
ОтветитьWhen you make a positional play
It’s big brain time!
Really you are helpful. You made my game play improve faster.Samuel from uganda
