3 Years Of FRUSTRATION! Overspilling Garden Causes Tempers To BOIL

We saw Norman today and will done the final visit for the new windows, so they will be getting made and take 4-6 weeks to arrive. Have a great weekend

Omg how can anyone let they’re garden get into that state , very selfish and inconsiderate to the neighbors, and before any one comes back with it’s to do with age r disability, I until 2 yrs ago had a lot of outside work to be kept in line and as I got older and couldn’t do it myself I paid a guy to do it , I don’t have a lot of money but u budget for it . I sold up and bought an apartment because I just couldn’t cope anymore

Was he old? Infirm? No relatives keeping on top of things. Its a shame many elderly have gardens they can't manage and no one willing ro help. Waste of a garden!! I used ro help my elderly neighbour. Id trim his hedge before people on pavement moaned!

I honestly wouldn't be arsed arguing with a neighbour who wasn't gonna bother doing anything with their hedge. I'd just cut my side, if they're lucky. Other than that it's a 5 gallon drum of Glyphosate.

I need you sir in here. I’m renting a little studio in a elderlys lady house. The garden looks like that!!! She can’t do anything as her son who lives in the house as well doesn’t want to cut anything… I don’t understand why to be honest. It’s a dump yard and I can’t do anything about it. I’m in Switzerland, does anyone know if there’s anything I can do with the commune or something?

Well done must have taken ages strange how vegetation can go awry and out of control I wonder if the other neighbour will clean their half as you were cleaning the link fence behind that was more of the same. I hope all parties can maintain their own parts now made manageable. I was critical of how you used the bladed trimmer until I saw this video. You really taught me a lesson! I have been searching for a wood mulcher to clean up heavy wood vines but haven't been able to find any. Your technique with the blade trimmer takes some time but works great. Instead of people moaning why don't they try to help each other,


Give you an example, i was doing my driveway and then my back garden ,planting lovely plants and slow growing hedges

This lovely NOW ex neighbour decided in the early hours to weed kill my front and back garden

Now I didn't realise this and thought well plants die,

So year 2 I plant new slow growing hedges and plants

Same thing happens the whole lot starts to die but this time a year into replanting everything.

So 3 years of hard work ,

So I redo everything again and I still have finished my driveway putting 20mm shingle down and railway sleepers as steps

I then noticed things plants are dying and think its impossible,

Anyway I catch my NOW EX NEIGHBOUR WITH A SPRAY BOTTLE WALKING BACK TO HER HOME AT 2.30AM,

I woke up because my little elderly dog started barking,

I confronted her and obviously she denied it, sure enough within a week everything starts to die in my front and back garden


I then report her to my local council who only replaced the slow growing hedge.

The council tells me she was anti social where she used to live and sprayed weed killer onto people's gardens and then spread rumours about her former neighbours were all pedophiles,

Those neighbours eventually threatened her and her partner and the council emergency moved them near me,

Well she had done Same thing to me and even spreading rumours i was a pedophile,

I confronted them but of course they denied it,

I contacted police who formly cautioned them .

Anyway I threatened them again which I should not have done but our council decides to emergency move them again

Its disgraceful.


Anyway apologies and I will get to the point,

My back garden and front now looks like the garden your cleaning up because I haven't done anything to it for 3 years,

After almost 5 years hard work. Doing my front end back garden making it look beautiful ive had enough,

Funny thing is the new neighbour who moved into the anti social ex neighbours home is complaining about my garden and I tried explaining i'v had enough of gardening.

I said to new neighbour if you don't like my gardens in their current status then please come round and do some gardening.

Of course they didn't


But moral of the story is to stop moaning because we don't know the full story and help,

And HELPING makes you feel better about yourself also,

I still have not done my garden and yes I Don't like it looking like that but now I've been unwell again recently I suppose I don't care

I have a neighbour like this brambles were 8ft tall & the whole garden was just a thick mass of brambles & nettles. Council issued a clearance order which was sort of done last week. This time next year it will be the same 😢. Not an old person just lazy (& thats not being rude or unkind just truthful sadly)

I really hope you checked that area before you cut it as that was prime habitat for hedgehogs in the brambles. Too many are still being killed or suffering horrific injuries by people using garden tools without first checking areas to be cut 😥

When I was a kid back in the 1960's the local Council had it written in stone that you looked after your garden. When you think of all the nice genuine couples who would dearly love a place of their own and then you see a family too lazy to scratch their arses by keeping things clean, it annoys everyone. I bet they have enough though for tattoos, cigarettes and a wide screen tv????????????

Question ..what is the best way to kill a tree root clutter. They only grew after years of neglect and were chopped down. I know that they started as little weeds and over time became overgrown. It was a sad looking yard. I am 5'9" and it came up to my hips. I was desperate and tried to cut with a loper and scissors so my Chihuahua could use the facilities.😅
