Will the performance be exactly the same on the oled version? I understand its the same specs as lcd but ive heard people say theres a 5% performance boost in some games on the oled.
Ответитьdamn, I was thinking of getting it this coming fall sale but once I saw it running at 80-90 degrees standard I decided "nope". Don't like running my deck too hot, 60 is the limit. Thanks for showing the full view anyways, so many deck game performance reviews never show the better window.
Ответитьwe will hold 40 frames per second.... as it drops to 35 and lower as he is saying it. idk what is up with the steam deck and over embellishing on the performance. like if it drops to low 30s non stop its not stable 40... and on top of it its all super resoltions and FSR resulting in a blurry picture, all yall sponsored by steam or something
ОтветитьDo you need cryo for this setting? Because without cryo my game keeps crashing.
ОтветитьNothing beats palyimg on my pc then going to bed contiuning where i left off. Love the deck
ОтветитьOmg i didnt know h that this was possible I might just buy a steam deck to play cyberpunk on trips and stuff
ОтветитьUnless my Steam Deck fps counter is wrong, I’m running a smooth, constant 60fps with med/low settings and FSR quality.
I have OS 3.4.
It looks absolutely fine on the small screen.
I also play CP2077 on a gaming rig and don’t notice the difference whilst playing (I can say this with many games).
People get so bogged down trying to play on ‘Epic’ when High looks the same when playing, especially a fast paced 3rd person or FPS.
I have no idea what I’m doing wrong, but my steam deck on the settings it’s just making me feel sick it’s just not smooth in the slightest, am I using the wrong controller set up? Or something
ОтветитьThe game still looks soulless.
ОтветитьVery great settings advices. Thanks a lot.
Also I play with the builtin performances options.
And with your settings (custom medium 40FPS in game) to set steamdeck:
- FPS limiter to off
- refresh rate to 40
- and vsync on.
Seams there is no much differences but better battery life. So I wonder if their is some smater way to tune it.
Did you tried something in this area?
I have a question how do you disable auto crouch because everyone time i look down my character crouch down appreciate it
Ответитьim wondering which SteamOS channel your using as im on stable channel and im playing with FSR on and a mixed set of settings and locked it down to 40fps for smoothness and image quality on my 32inch monitor ive got hooked to my dock but ive tried a range of settings and ive seen 45-55 up to 80fps in some spots with minimized settings and using FSR, it still looks very reasonable on the built in screen that way. i havent seen this low perfomance since 1.63 on stable. a side note i do have cryoutilities installed and set to recommended thats the only adjustment ive made other then that im stock stable channel OS
ОтветитьCyberpunk was working fine on my deck, now all of the sudden it freezes up and crashes. I followed this guide, set VRAM to 4g in bios, reinstalled the game, and installed cryoutilities. What else can be done?
ОтветитьYou forgot to mention turning on "HDD mode" in the settings of the game. This improves performance quite a bit even on SSD's
ОтветитьThanks for the guide!
ОтветитьGo and set your Vsync to 30, and limit your FPS in game to 60, turn off FPS Cap from deck and you will get 60FPS with Steam deck settings!
ОтветитьHelp me. I play cyberpunk game with Steam deck. Is the Phantom Liberty DLC and update 2.0 released for the Steam deck?
ОтветитьGeForce now. You're welcome 🤗
ОтветитьIt is unfortunate that people suggest vsync on Steam Deck OS. Vsync is pointless inside of gamescope. This is already doing a horizontal (because it is a portrate native screen) frame sync at a kernel level which is much more efficient than vsync ever could. Dont bother putting a frame cap or vsync in game settings. Gamescope is far more efficent at it, and setting the frame rate limiter in the QAM works far better and is more efficent.
ОтветитьMy suggestions would be others: instead of caping max fps at 40 in video menu, turn it of and turn vsync on at 30 fps. And you will get stable 30 fps in every location without fps drops and much stutters. Also don’t forget to turn of steam deck’s internal fps inlay
ОтветитьCan't activate MTS on Steam deck? This setting is in the gameplay tab.
ОтветитьCould you guys please confirm, does playing from microSD affect the overall fps quality as CDPR states it in their patch log? I was thinking about buying the internal ssd instead of my 64gb stick particularly for this game only, but if the frame rate is quite the same I’ll rather omit, because my 256 gb microSD is enough for me. Thank you in advance!
ОтветитьI prefer to choose steam deck setting, i get 45fps
Ответить❤❤❤ Thank you
ОтветитьTo be fair the company basically overhauled the game and the fact it still runs on steam deck is good play on their part showing they do care for the community
ОтветитьNot sure why, but in my own testing I put the VSync to 30 and the game shoots up to 60fps. Probably a bug as I do notice some animations when V is interacting with stuff is jittery assuming because it’s trying to run it at 30fps but still looks good.
Ответитьcan you try steam deck preset with fsr balanced and 720 p rezolution ?? I hardly get under 30 fps, and on the benchmark i have 45 fps average
ОтветитьAre we actually going to look into Phantom Liberty? It feels just a bit surreal that it may be release soon
ОтветитьU said cryo utilities set to recommended setting. So it means swap file of 16 GB? That's too large file used up on internal SSD!
ОтветитьHere’s a suggestion out of left field for Retro Ups & Downs. Do an Ups & Downs for the video game Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force. There is so much fun fan service throughout that game.
ОтветитьFSR3 will change the steam deck completely. Imagine cyberpunk with 60fps....and even ray tracing.
ОтветитьWait until you enter Dog Town. All I'll say for now.
ОтветитьI really don’t get the obsession with gamers and frame rate 😂😂
ОтветитьI really fucking hate when updates basically raise the floor of requirements of a game years after release
ОтветитьHow worse is it than previous version in terms of framerate vs same settings before?
ОтветитьAppreciate the work done here!
Ответитьhey steam deck gaming what is the file for patch 2.0 just wondering btw love all the vids and good work you do always making good content 👍🏽!
ОтветитьWhy not set the screen refresh rate to 40hz and enable vsync instead of using the ingame frame limiter? This is usually what I do for most titles.
ОтветитьIf i went with a 30 fps cap what do you guys recommend settings wise
ОтветитьGreat work! Thank you! 👍🏾
ОтветитьTry xess on auto in this game. It looks a lot better than fsr. there's less ghosting and graphical glitches that appear in FSR 2. In the last version Xess ran a lot worse than FSR but I'm only getting minor differences in performance now which could just be a circumstance due to what was going on during gameplay and not the upscaler itself I'll probably test it out a little more but it's a huge difference in visual fidelity. Honestly i'm impressed with Intel
ОтветитьMany thanks for showing the fan RPM🙏 Over 7k must be very loud so this game is a pass for me since I try to avoid games with RPM over 4k. Very useful information, thx again! 👍
ОтветитьDespite the fact that they had to increase the system requirements the game runs better than it did before patch 2.0, pretty much locked 30 on the steam deck preset. At least it does on my deck
Ответитьcd projeckt recommend running the game from an ssd to help with better texture streaming especially on steam deck?
ОтветитьGreat explanation. I prefer 30 fps with better graphic quality tbh.
ОтветитьI've set basically everything to low but textures and it's rock solid in 30 fps :P thanks for the upload, gonna set your settings ASAP
