A wonderful man whose Presidency was full of crises yet he tried his best. It didn't work out for him but he accomplished some good things. He wasn't your typical politician and could not be bought. This along with events largely beyond his control meant he was a one term President. He and his wife are a model of integrity, compassion and love. I wish we had more of that in 2024.

Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, served from 1977 to 1981. His legacy is multifaceted and often subject to varying interpretations. Here are some key aspects of Jimmy Carter's legacy:

1. *Domestic Policy:*
- *Energy Policy:* Carter's administration focused on energy conservation and reducing the country's dependence on foreign oil. He implemented measures such as the creation of the Department of Energy and the promotion of alternative energy sources.
- *Economic Challenges:* Carter faced economic difficulties, including high inflation and unemployment. His efforts to address these issues were not entirely successful, contributing to a perception of a lack of control over the economy.

2. *Foreign Policy:*
- *Camp David Accords:* One of Carter's most significant achievements was brokering the Camp David Accords in 1978, which led to a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt. This earned him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002.
- *Iran Hostage Crisis:* Carter faced a major foreign policy challenge with the Iran Hostage Crisis, where 52 Americans were held hostage for 444 days. The unsuccessful rescue attempt in 1980 further damaged his reputation.

3. *Human Rights and Diplomacy:*
- *Human Rights Emphasis:* Carter made human rights a cornerstone of his foreign policy, emphasizing the importance of democratic values and condemning human rights abuses. However, critics argue that this sometimes led to inconsistent policies, such as continued support for authoritarian regimes.
- *Panama Canal Treaty:* Carter negotiated and signed the Panama Canal Treaty, which led to the eventual transfer of control of the canal to Panama. This move was controversial but aimed at improving relations with Latin American countries.

4. *Environmental Conservation:*
- *Conservation Efforts:* Carter demonstrated a commitment to environmental conservation, expanding national parks and creating new wilderness areas. His administration also enacted legislation to protect natural resources.

5. *Crisis Management and Public Perception:*
- *Iranian Revolution and Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan:* Carter faced challenges with the Iranian Revolution and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, which strained U.S. relations with these countries. Critics argued that his responses were inadequate.
- *Perception of Weak Leadership:* Carter's presidency was marked by a perception of weak leadership, especially in handling economic challenges and international crises. This contributed to his defeat in the 1980 election.

6. *Post-Presidential Activities:*
- *Humanitarian Work:* After leaving office, Carter engaged in extensive humanitarian work, including efforts to eradicate diseases in developing countries and promoting fair elections through the Carter Center.

Overall, Jimmy Carter's legacy is a mix of notable accomplishments and challenges. While his emphasis on human rights and the Camp David Accords stand out as positive achievements, his presidency was also marked by economic difficulties, the Iran Hostage Crisis, and perceptions of weak leadership. Carter's post-presidential activities have further shaped his legacy as a humanitarian and advocate for global issues. Public opinion on Carter's legacy continues to evolve, and historians may offer varied assessments of his impact on American and global politics.

I think it is remarkable that a president can use incomplete information, synonyms, association, angling away, misleading, body language, duplication smile, manipulation, and silence to, for example, avoid discussion about the state structures.

If trying to understand why his approval rating was so low in 1979, how it could possibly be lower than the current rating, one must search. While I understand the reason clearly now, unsurprisingly, the reality of now sinks deeper. Not only has Jimmy Carter proven to be a humane and productive man, he has done nothing but the same in all the years since he was U.S. President. Turning the country into a divided wasteland while catering only to yourself and whom you are forced is the legacy of Joe Biden. Not to mention he has no worries of life afterward, as one must be alive to continue on.. in life.

The world today desperately needs leaders like the sincerity and decency of Jimmy Carter.
He may not have been a particularly successful President but this was largely due to factors he did not cause, like inflation and, in particular, Iran. He was a great advocate for human rights and criticized human rights abuses in allied countries to the US as well as those against the US.
He has been the most successful former President in US history as well as being the oldest and the one who has lived the longest after he ceased being the President. He also had qualities like graciously conceding defeat in the 1980 Presidential election, unlike one man who was President until recently...
The world will definitely be a poorer place once he has gone and I am sure in time historians will rate his Presidency more highly, especially compared to that same man who did not concede defeat gracefully.
God bless Jimmy Carter and his family.

I think it should be investigated if the American states now and then are legislated with the Bible written as a story. The word immunity (Latin immunitas, freedom from obligations to the state) comes from a religious revelation from the middle ages, most likely from a pope to become lawless, and which has since been rewritten into sovereign, absolute, and qualified immunity (legally, cannot be prosecuted for criminal act) to the president, senate (origin, the Roman Empire), congress, cabinet, and Supreme Court for law decisions and actions. The political exploitation of the vital ecosystem has now led to forest death, how will it affect people's economy, etc.

I also think The Democratic party can be a consciously misleading party name with all parties belonging to The Republican party, as current political democracy and socialism can only be about going more toward the middle, eg. The Democrats for law decisions and actions, even with the misleading word professional politician.

Furthermore, I think the people should consider voting for a real democratic party with an independent state formation to investigate if the president, parties, senate (origin, the Roman Empire), congress, cabinet, and Supreme Court overall may be guilty of a violation of democratic rights with misleading elections, economic crimes, violation of human rights with class society for adults and children, and serious environmental crime (force majeure).

Jimmy Carter would have been re-elected if it hadn't been for George Bush deliberately sabotaging the American Hostage Rescue in Iran.
Those choppers were blown up on purpose. Operation Eagleclaw was never intended to rescue those hostages, anyway.

I’m not acting like he was one of the top best Presidents by any means. But he is such a good person. He said what he felt, he tried to do what was right. He’s not a bad person, unlike most evil politicians who would obsess and abuse their power, he really tried and cared about the people, unfortunately with the inflation and gas prices of 1979 and the Iran Hostage Crisis he just had bad luck. But he still felt like a real leader and someone who wasn’t abusing his power. Till this day he will still, he will go down in history as the president who made human rights central to his own foreign policy. ✌🏻🦅🇺🇸🦅✌🏻

The U.S. ceased to be a major exporter beginning with the Carter administration... remember Carter shut down infastructure he shut down the savings and loan banks...he destroyed the kind of industry that is a small high tech industry's on which productivity depends. Began to gut the faemers, entreprenuers who are the backbone of the productivity in the growth of an economy not big corporations. The big corporations sometimes used a decent product but they were able to produce a decent product because they relied upon vendors largely in the machine tool category who produced a high quality technology product which you saw in automobiles and other products. These people were put out of business by Carter by Faulker and what followed during the early 1980s. So the U.S. went from a position of being the most successful economy in the world over the period from FDRs recovery from 1933-1945 into 1965 ! Despite all our mistakes we were still the model economy in the world in 1965. We began to destroy that when Nixon started to revive racism in America with his Southern Strategy campaign in 1966 and Carter took over and continued the racist Southern Strategy whe he became president during the late 1970s ....under these conditions the traditional policies under which the U.S. had become the world's model success were torn down step by step. The truth hurts
