Daniel chapter 7 deals with this period of history in 4 major Empires. Babylonian, Media-Persian, Greek and then Roman, but like you mentions (according to many) Antiochus Epiphanes. At first I thought Daniel 8 referred to the battle of Issus, but later I realised it was Gaugamela too. This docu filled in a lot of gaps for me, and I will be researching it for a long time. I have always regarded the Dead Sea Scrolls as from an heretical sect because of the voodoo in the Book of Tobit. rejected by the Jewish canon of scripture. It may be months before my research about this is over. Thank you so much for the information about the history.. Because of the Book of Daniel I wish the taking of the city of Babylon by damming a river, and battles like Thermopylae were included.

Salt has negative buoyancy, when the sea flows in land and becomes a river the sediments sink on the way through eventually causing fresh water rivers, this being the lowest point on earth is why the salt collects here in such high quantities.

This outstanding documentary is a revelation and humbling too as it shows how ignorant most of us are about history. Education is so important but the current systems are letting society down by not informing people about the complexity of the past. Now we just get certain groups pushing their agendas without any real context apart from their limited and politicised perspectives. A good example of the maxim a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Book of Macabees 1, 2, 3, 4 gives great details as to what happened during Greek rule. Book of Enoch also discovered in Dead Sea Scrolls gives great details as to how giants were created on Earth. It also tells you where demons come from.
