Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Switch Review - Still Gorgeous?

Just bought off of eshop for $10! Cant wait to get into it!

I know nothing of this game and I've bought both, hoping to enjoy them.

This game looks incredible on the Switch OLED screen

hi this is about the tokos, what level should I be to beat them quickly and easily

I wouldn't say it's challenging as a whole, just occasionally when switching from 1 area to the next and meeting a strong boss. I beat the last boss with a lv.10 and lv.20 tank familiars in their 1st forms.

9.99 us on the switch now. Should I get it?

I own this on Switch and PS4pro. I prefer it on Switch and not just because its portable. I actually think it looks better on Switch. Yes, Technically its superior on ps4pro of course, but the 4k or 1440p resolution does not match the lower resolution cutscenes and real-time environments and can be distracting. As where on Switch, everything just blends together nicely and reminds more of the original.

Its just my personal opinion, but overall the Switch version just captures the art style and fluid animations of the original better because of the matching resolutions between cutscene and real-time transitions.

As always a great review of a great game. I first got it as a download from the eShop because of this review, "There's a Miazaki game?!" Then 3.5 years later found a new physical copy on sale at a GameStop so I nabbed it and play it on my new Animal Crossing themed Switch. Thanks!

This has been going on sale in NA eshop recently. I really have been growing my physical games collection since 2020 after not collecting for years. I saw this on sale on Amazon at the same time as the eShop. It was a bit more expensive but having the physical cartridge and case is worth it in the long run.

goes to show you how much of garbage devs Game Freak has turned out to be.

Harsh opinion for me, but the only reasons I kept playing this game was for the visuals and reading the tall tales in the wizard companion. Otherwise the game held my hand the whole time and punished me for trying to go off the beaten track. Some of the puzzles forced me to look up a guide (which I hate doing) to give me a solution I would have never thought of. All of the side quests were pointless but also essential since it’s how to unlock rewards, so I had just push my way through all of them. Near the end of the game I just button mashed through the side quest text because it all had the same way to complete it (fetch quests). When I look into games, I lean towards exploration games, and I got ticked off every time I was blocked off from an area. Again, the visuals from the cutscenes were very well made, but there much more negatives within my play through that made my experience annoying rather than fun.

I remember seeing this year's ago and loving it and just saw its on sale on switch can't wait to play it properly.

I used to watch stampy play this game but didnt have a ps3. I got a £15 Nintendo switch gift card and this game is currently £12.49 so I know what I'm spending my boxing day playing. Thanks for the review!

As far as gameplay/mechanics, is this a good title for casual gamers or would it seem to complex? I'm thinking of getting this for my girlfriend as a present. She would absolutely love the art style, but she's not great with complex controls. She has played Animal Crossing and Mario Galaxy, but hasn't really played an RPG
