Best Holland America Package: Totally Worth Every Dollar!!

Absolutely! My sister and her husband are type 1's, up and out running the deck at dawn. They enjoyed getting their sweats back and clean (sometimes the same day!) We usually travel 3 days prior to shipping out and as 4 stars enjoy getting all those clothes washed and tidy.

It was the first thing I booked! Do they take care if the fabric is shrinkable?

They have a $35 fill the bag one time laundry service also.. which should suffice for a 7 day cruise... can stuff quite a bit in the bag provided.

They’re all a waste of $$
But drinks alacart. Doing laundry is disgusting! They throw you’re laundry in a netted bag with everyone else’s (yuck)

Another great video Christina! I agree that HAL has an awful website. Trying to scroll down their list of cruises is painfully slow and it’s hard to find things. Also get error messages often. I purchased the Thermal suite on my recent cruise and loved it BUT I found that I wasn’t going to the swimming pool at all because I had very little time to do both as my days were busy with going on wildlife spotting sessions with their naturalist or attending wildlife talks and other fantastic programs they put on. I had considered the unlimited laundry but as I travel solo and wasn’t going to a hot destination I didn’t need it. However if I go on a tropical cruise it would be a fantastic idea.

I didn’t realize that the laundry package was so reasonable! We have paid for the single use before and think they do a great job. On our next trip we will try the package laundry service. Thanks for the advice. While the website is rather awkward to use, there’s one part of it that I particularly enjoy. When you are searching for a cruise, the map of where the ship goes is right up front on the search page. You don’t have to click on each individual cruise to see where it goes. Some cruise lines(and I am talking about you, Princess Cruise Line) you have to go through 3 pages on each individual cruise to get to the map. Sure they give a list of ports but some of the ports I have never heard about before and have no idea where they are.

Does it include dry cleaning too? Thanks in advance.

We have only been on one HAL cruise, but I agree. The laundry service was the BEST!

I’ve only used the by the bag laundry, not the package and as I travel solo and my next cruise is not in a hot humid climate, I’m not sure if it will be useful but I’ll definitely think about it.

This is a great tip! We are going on our first ever cruise, with HAL, in May on the Inside Passage trip. We have a week touring beforehand so I presume we can travel with fewer clothes and use the laundry service every day??

Just curious given your over enthusiasm and a15 out of 10 rating for laundry service, what kind of mess do you guys create onboard the ship that you need daily and such extensive laundry service? I am not trying to be mean but actually understand as we cruise a lot and have never had this die hard need for such extensive laundry ever.
