Would a 4K splitter be high enough for changing to 4:4:4 on Apple TV 4K

DV also showing 8 bit on mine with C2. Any ideas

strange after moving from 1st gen apple4k tv to 2nd gen i notice smoothness in picture ,less sharp,dont like it ,in other way the picture look more natural

Will this calibration also work on a lg c1?

I replaced the 2nd generation with the 3rd generation device in the home theater and moved the 2nd generation device to the bedroom tv. Having the ability to switch locations in the middle of a show without having to find it again is worth the added cost. A bonus was that the audio quality on the gen 3 device was observed to be clearer.

If you got for chroma 4:2:0 is it output 10 bit, which industry standard.

4:4:4 with SDR? Does that even work?

When using with LG C1 if I use anything other than ycbcr 4:2:0 then Netflix Dolby Vision has occasional abrupt dimming that is always repeatable at the same points in the show/movie. I'm using 3rd gen Apple TV 4K and a high speed cable.

I've got the last APPLE TV HDR 4K 60 Fps YCBCR 444, but i don't like the colors on the OPTOMA UHZ 65 , the color gradient isn't good, I sold it to buy a nvidia quadro p2200 for my computer, and is muchhhhhh better ! with RGB HDR FULL RANGE or 444 12 bit ! Decode acceleration for MPEG-2, MPEG-4 Part 2 Advanced Simple Profile, H.264, HEVC, MVC, VC1 doing good job

Hi Vincent, I have a question. My TV is Sony Z9D and I us Apple TV 4K (2021). Why the Dolby Vision contents in Apple TV+ and Netflix seems dim. For my another TV, LG C7, there is no such problem. The contents in Dolby vision is even darker than SDR contents. Any suggestion to fix it in Z9D? Thank you.

I was wondering if you could review the new high-end ZIDOO UHD3000 4K media player or ZIDOO Z1000 Pro. It claims to be the first media player that offers no loss in audio and video quality with Bluray rips. Hi thanks for nice video.. I am jignesh from india... having hisenese A71F 55 in 4k, LG SN8YG soundbar. With apple 4k 2nd gen, I am unable to get 10 bit dolby vision video at hisene, only get 8 bit dolby vision at 60 hz. While inbuilt installed app like netflix and disney giving dolby vision with 10 bit video.... Here we can see difference between 8 bit and 10 bit dolby vision on my tv. Kinldy suggest...

Judging from ifixit's teardown, 120Hz 4k is highly unlikely. It appears they are using the same DisplayPort to HDMI chipset, which isn't capable.

I returned mine… used the same settings I usually use on my first Gen 4k model.. HDR and DOLBY VISION was really dark, tried different cables… couldn’t handle it …the atmos performance has been greatly improved. Seems like Apple doesn’t play nice with Sony oleds…. But my first Gen 4k box was fine..mhm weird. Also returned a shield. Which had the best Dolby vision picture. But shitty sdr and UI

After watching this video, I honestly wonder whether my 3rd Apple TV purchase (the 4K 2021 model) was worth it. I just got a second LG OLED TV, the 48” C1, to use for streaming movies and playing games via a laptop w/ high-end graphics card & 2.1 port. It’s good to know per one comment that the apps are better on the new Apple TV than on an LG OLED, but if it doesn’t even deliver 2.1 (whenever this review was done), and has no end of tweaks/limitations with sound variables, especially w/ the HomePod Minis, and can’t match the LG’s 120 Hz, then is this really the best way to optimize my LG C1 OLED? Price is not a factor; quality viewing is. I’ve found the Apple TV’s great with older smart TVs, but I’m feeling decidedly less so with this one if it can’t effectively support my LG TV’s features; its lack of its compatibility with the Minis; together with the 2.1 shortcomings revealed in this review. Any input would be greatly appreciated, particularly if anyone knows whether Apple has recently “unlocked” the chip’s capability to deliver HDMI 2.1??

Whe. I put mine into chroma 4.4.4 the source is lost when I switch source aka no source display for two seconds then it comes back on . It doesn’t do this under chroma 4.2.2 whys that

I have the gen 1 and just brought the gen 2 ATV BECAUSE in a fit of rage I smashed the horrible remote on gen 1. So the cost of buying just the new remote seemed silly as with gen 2 it’s half price with remote.. colour balance is exceptionally good can anyone beat African Apple UI I think not .
